3C MAXXGRIP

Die 3C MaxxGrip-Mischung von Maxxis verwendet den klebrigsten und langsamsten Rückprallgummi, den wir in einem Mountainbike-Reifen anbieten. Diese Mischung mit hoher Traktion ist die gleiche, die auch von unseren besten Downhill-Weltcup- und Enduro-World-Series-Athleten verwendet wird, und ist jetzt in verschiedenen Karkassenkonfigurationen erhältlich, um alle Fahrer abzudecken.

    TUBELESS READY

    Tubeless Ready-Reifen bieten dem Radfahrer zahlreiche Vorteile: die Möglichkeit, niedrigere Luftdrücke zu verwenden, was die Traktion verbessert; geringerer Rollwiderstand als ein Schlauchreifen; und die Wahrscheinlichkeit einer Abflachung ist geringer, da kein Rohr vorhanden ist. Tubeless Ready-Reifen sind an der Seitenwand mit den Buchstaben „TR“ gekennzeichnet.

    Tubeless Ready-Reifen müssen auf Tubeless-kompatiblen Felgen montiert werden und erfordern die Verwendung eines flüssigen Dichtmittels, um den Druck aufrechtzuerhalten. Flüssige Dichtstoffe haben den zusätzlichen Vorteil, dass sie kleine Löcher abdichten. Überprüfen Sie die Versiegelung unbedingt regelmäßig und erneuern Sie sie bei Bedarf, da sie mit der Zeit austrocknet.

    Flüssigdichtmittel sollten nur für die folgenden Reifentypen verwendet werden: Straßenreifen, Schlauchreifen und Tubeless Ready. Die Verwendung flüssiger Dichtmittel in anderen Maxxis-Reifen führt zum Erlöschen der Garantie.

    BREITE WEGE

    Die Wide Trail (WT)-Konstruktion optimiert die Reifenanordnung und das Profilprofil auf den modernen, breiteren Felgen von heute. Herkömmliche Reifen basieren auf älteren, schmaleren Felgen und können ein übermäßig quadratisches Reifenprofil erzeugen, was zu einer suboptimalen Leistung führt. WT-Reifen sind für eine Felgeninnenbreite von 35 mm optimiert, bieten aber je nach Fahrerpräferenz nachweislich auch eine Felgeninnenbreite von 30 bis 35 mm.

    DH-GEHÄUSE

    Das Maxxis DH-Gehäuse für Downhill-MTB-Reifen besteht aus zwei Schichten 60-tpi-Canvas mit einer Gummibeschichtung, die von Wulst zu Wulst verläuft und zusätzlichen Schutz und seitliche Steifigkeit für Enduro- und Downhill-Anwendungen bietet, mit einer zusätzlichen Schicht Butylkautschuk im Fersenbereich. um den Rand der Felgen zu schützen und den Seitenwänden Stabilität zu verleihen.

    Lasting value but degraded presentation
    Format: Paperback
    I've been a BBP fan since the first edition in 2005. The second edition in 2007 was a significant update and refinement. The latest, 2011 edition, is not worth buying if you already have the second edition -- the information is essentially the same but the 2011 is printed on cheap paper and the contrast between text and background for most of the illustrations is lousy, e.g. black text on a dark grey background, white text on a light grey background. I found it very difficult to read. The online version (O'Reilly Safari Books OnLine) is slightly better because it allows you to magnify the low contrast images which makes them slightly more legible. Thankfully, access to the online version is included with the ink-on-paper book free via a scratch-off, lottery ticket-type insert at the back of the book. If I had to do it again, I'd skip the paper book from Amazon and just purchase electronic access via O'Reilly. This version is more legible and you can print important pages that you might want hard copies of to highlight, mark-up, etc.

    Powerful for the presenter

    My boss's boss recently told me that our organization's presentations are boring data dumps that make her wish she was somewhere other than there listening but not really hearing or caring about this slide and dreading the next. I recommend this book to anyone looking for more of an answer on how to improve their presentations and eliminate the data dump in bullet points.
