Der Riesling Lorch Bodental-Steinberg 2024 ist ein spannender Neuzugang im Portfolio von Alexander Schregel – und direkt ein eindrucksvolles Beispiel dafür, wie kraftvoll und präzise Lorcher Steillagenrieslinge sein können. Der Bodental-Steinberg gehört zu den charakterstärksten Parzellen der Region: eine südexponierte Steillage, geprägt von kargem Schieferboden, der dem Wein seine kühle Spannung, Kräuterwürze und klare mineralische Tiefe verleiht.

Herkunft / Lage / Vinifikation

Lorch besitzt im Rheingau ein echtes Alleinstellungsmerkmal: schieferdominierte Steillagen, die eine unverwechselbar kühle, kräuterwürzige und mineralische Riesling-Stilistik hervorbringen. Der Bodental-Steinberg zählt dabei zu den präzisesten und druckvollsten Lagen.
Alexander Schregel arbeitet hier bewusst handwerklich und puristisch: selektive Handlese, schonende Pressung, spontane Vergärung sowie Ausbau ohne Schönung und Filtration. Dieser minimalinvasive Ansatz bringt die Herkunft besonders klar und ungeschminkt ins Glas.

Nase: Kühle Kräuter, Zitrus, Steinobst und feine Schiefermineralik – präzise und klar.
Gaumen: Straff, geradlinig und mineralisch; Kräuterwürze, Zitrusfrische und eleganter Druck.
Abgang: Langanhaltend, fokussiert und puristisch mit salziger Mineralität.

Der Lagenname „Lorch Bodental-Steinberg“ erscheint nicht auf der Flasche, da Alexander Schregel seine Weine bewusst puristisch, schonend und ohne Schönung/Filtration verarbeitet. Die Rheingauer Qualitätsweinprüfung stuft diesen Stil als „nicht typisch“ ein – daher darf der offizielle Lagenname nicht angegeben werden.

Alexander Schregel startete mit seinem ersten eigenen Jahrgang 2021 durch und die Weine waren schneller ausverkauft als uns lieb war. Erfahrung hat er bereits in führender Position beim renommierten VDP Betrieb - Weingut Leitz gesammelt.

Aus Spitzenlagen in Rüdesheim (Berg Roseneck, Bischofsberg) und nun auch Locher Toplagen, bringt er nun mit 2023 seinen drittem Jahrgang in den Verkauf. Dabei geht er im klassischen Rheingau "neue Wege", beziehungsweise Back to the Roots. Die Weine werden spontanvergoren und bekommen mehr Zeit sich zu entwickeln, auf Schönungsmittel wird komplett verzichtet, geschwefelt wird nur minimal. In der Weinbergsarbeit werden biodynamische Ansätze genutzt. Ein unheimlich spannendes Unterfangen, mit bereits in den ersten beiden Jahrgängen unheimlich tollen, lebendigen Weinen. Back to the Roots!

Da die Rheingauer Qualitätsweinprüfung scheinbar noch hinter dem Mond wohnt und Alex seine Weine nicht filitiert, kam dieser leider nicht durch die "Qualitätsprüfung" und darf daher leider nicht den Lagennamen auf dem Etikett tragen. Wir finden, totaler Schwachsinn! Dieser Wein ist Groß!

My new washcloth every time I shower at home or the gym
Scent: Gray
I initially used an Axe loofa with the scrub pad on one side and a plastic mesh on the other. However, I also wanted a washcloth to clean crevices such as ears, toes, and *other* parts. This product marries the two parts I want (cloth/scrub). The cloth side is soft for cleaning inside the ears, on eyelids, etc., and the scrub side is perfect for the rest of my skin and makes it smooth and healthy-looking. I use a fresh one every time I shower so there is no bacteria growth, and I use it when showering after gym workouts. Also, there's a loop on them so they can hang from the water handle when you're not using it. I wash them with my regular laundry without damage to my clothes from the scrub side; just let them dry completely before placing them in the hamper so mold doesn't grow. I've had them for 6 months and they still look new, so it's worth the extra $ for that reason. My only suggestion is that they offer to sell them in packs of 5 or 7 at a lower price per washcloth, so it's cheaper to buy a week's set in one purchase.
