Elevage du papillon Antherina suraka

Avant d'acheter votre papillon, assurez vous que vous disposez du matériel nécessaire: un vivarium pour les chenilles et une volière pour les papillons, un tapis chauffant et un hygromètre/Thermomètre pour vous assurer des bons niveaux de température et d'hygrométrie. 


Température et humidité pour le papillon Antherina suraka

La température idéale est de 27 degrés et une humidité d'environs 80°. Vous pouvez cependant élever vos papillons avec une température de 23 degrés (ils se développeront moins vite). Il est essentiel de vaporiser le vivarium tous les jours (et légèrement les cocons). Ne vaporisez jamais directement sur les chenilles ou sur les feuilles (les feuilles humides pourraient rendre votre papillon malade.



Que faire après l'achat de mes papillons Antherina suraka?


Disposez les chenilles dans un vivarium avec une feuille d'essuie-tout au fond. Mettez les feuilles de troène dans un pot d'eau, comblez le trou avec du coton pour éviter les noyades. Cassez une branche pour qu'elle traîne sur le sol du vivarium (les chenilles pourront ainsi remonter sur les feuilles). Vaporisez les parois du vivarium. Mettez un tapis chauffant sous le vivarium, et le thermomètre/Hygromètre dans le trou pour la sonde.
Puis installez les chenilles. 

Une fois en cocon, assurez-vous que les papillons aient suffisamment d'espace pour sortir du cocon (évitez de laisser trop de branches).  Ne les touchez pas jusqu'à ce qu'ils déploient leurs ailes. Ensuite installez-les dans une volière ou un très grand vivarium.
Ne relâchez jamais les chenilles ou les papillons dans la nature.
Vous pouvez les laisser se reproduire jusqu'à ce qu'ils pondent leurs oeufs.
