Description

Athlon Optics Cronus G2 UHD 7-42×60 Spotting ScopePrecision rifle competitors reading mirage, scoring targets, and calling wind at 600 1,200 yards need a spotting scope with a reticle not just magnification. The Athlon Cronus G2 UHD 7 4260 is a purpose built tactical spotting scope with a first focal plane TSSR MIL reticle, apochromatic UHD glass, and ESP dielectric coated prisms, designed for shooters who use their spotting scope as an active ranging and wind calling tool rather than just a viewer.

Precision rifle competitors reading mirage, scoring targets, and calling wind at 600-1,200 yards need a spotting scope with a reticle — not just magnification. The Athlon Cronus G2 UHD 7-42×60 is a purpose-built tactical spotting scope with a first focal plane TSSR MIL reticle, apochromatic UHD glass, and ESP dielectric-coated prisms, designed for shooters who use their spotting scope as an active ranging and wind-calling tool rather than just a viewer.

Key Features
  • First focal plane TSSR MIL reticle — thin, unobstructive mil lines with 0.2-mil increments and stadia ranging lines for estimating distance to known-size targets. The clean reticle design keeps the field of view open for spotting trace and splash, unlike busier grid-based reticles that can obscure the target area
  • Apochromatic UHD glass with advanced fully multi-coated lenses — triple-element apochromatic correction eliminates color fringing at high magnification, delivering sharp, color-true images from 7x through 42x. ESP dielectric coating reflects over 99% of light through the optical path for maximum brightness and contrast
  • 7-42x magnification range — wider than most competitors in this class. At 7x the field of view spans 284 feet at 1,000 yards for fast target acquisition; at 42x you have the resolution to read mirage, spot trace, and call impacts at 600+ yards
  • Integrated Picatinny rail (top-mounted, repositionable to either side) lets you mount a red dot sight, laser rangefinder, or offset accessories without an aftermarket rail cage — saving hundreds of dollars and reducing weight
  • Compact straight-body design at 46.6 ounces and 13.9 inches — the straight-through body aligns naturally behind a rifle on a bench or barricade, and at under 3 pounds it packs into a range bag or field kit without adding bulk. Aluminum alloy chassis with rubber armor, argon purged, fully waterproof
  • 10-yard to infinity focus range — focuses closer than virtually any spotter in its class, useful for target identification at short range during stage walkthroughs or close-range training scenarios

Ideal For

PRS and precision rifle competitors who need a spotter that speaks the same language as their riflescope. The FFP mil reticle lets the spotter measure wind holds, estimate range, and call corrections in mils before the shooter even gets on target — saving critical seconds per stage. The Picatinny rail accommodates a red dot for fast target acquisition between stages.

Long-range shooters and spotter/shooter teams working at 600 to 1,500+ yards. The TSSR reticle's stadia lines provide ranging capability when a laser rangefinder isn't practical, and the thin mil lines make it easy to measure exact deviation from point of aim for precise follow-up corrections.

Hunters who shoot at distance and want a spotting scope that does double duty — glass for game at 7x with a 284-foot field of view, then confirm hits or measure holdovers at 42x with mil-based precision. The compact, lightweight package travels well in a backcountry setup.

Want more aperture for observation? The Cronus G2 UHD 20-60x86 delivers an 86mm objective in a 45° angled body optimized for extended glassing sessions — more light gathering and wider field of view, without a reticle, for hunters and birders who prioritize pure optical performance over tactical functionality.

The squeeker isn't durable, but the balls themselves are.
Color: S6-muti-color, Color: S6-muti-color
I have two 70+lb, ball obsessed dogs (a field bred Golden Retriever, and an Old Time Scotch Collie), and these balls are living up to the abuse they're receiving. In the fall we always lose a ball or two in the yard due to getting lost in leaves or longer grass, so I always try and buy a multi pack at the start of the season, so went with these this year. I'm glad I did. Great price for a 6 pack, they fit the medium Chuck-It launcher (a little loosely, but they throw just fine), have great bounce, they FLOAT (which means I didn't lose any at the beach), and they're super durable to the dreaded "mouth squish." The squeaker dies pretty quick, like, within a day, but it isn't the kind that can fall out or choke your dog, so no worries there. The boys are happy, I'm happy, my wallet is happy - I've already ordered another pack.

Disappointed
Color: S6-muti-color
These were great for about 20 minutes then they stopped squeaking...we have 2 left that I have saved but the other 4 do not squeak anymore...disappointed as my dog loves to squeak things...would not buy these again...My dog is only an 8lb dog too...but he can still play with the balls without the squeak...

Great Value for a ball my dog loves!
Color: S6-muti-color
I wish these ball were in the subscription program! My dog gets sooo excited by the new ball, but her interest in things lasts for a few days. She kills the squeak within 11minutes, but the squeaker stays in place rather than becoming a chocking or swallow hazard, and she still loves to chew it. Next, we must throw the ball approximately 723 times the first day, possibly 496 times on day 2, and just 3- 4 on day 3, at which point she will chase the ball before hollering "it's over here if you need it," while she checks on the chipmunk den. We currently have 17 of these balls in our yard (because we have given several leftovers to a less discriminating doodle next door). These balls hold up really well, get her extremely active for the first couple of days, and are a much cheaper than doggie daycare (after an active morning with a new ball, she is happy to chew on it and sleep much of the day). I always have these on hand!

Pieces chewed off
Color: white & green
My Aussiedoodle loves it. I throw it down the hallway, it bounces crazy, and he chases it. The only complaint is that he can't chew much of the ball part. So now I have to have it put away and brought out for special playtime.
