The Fresh Pack — Duck Care Hairball Relief "UMAMI" | 450g

The most complete hairball solution available — from the inside out. The Fresh Pack Duck Care Hairball Relief is a frozen cat food formulated specifically to address hairballs at every level simultaneously: natural fiber for easy hairball passage, Omega-rich salmon oil and chia seeds for coat health that reduces shedding at the source, Greek yogurt probiotics for the gut health that supports smooth digestive transit, and duck and eggs as a hypoallergenic-friendly high-protein foundation that most cats have never been exposed to. Turmeric for anti-inflammatory support. Broth for palatability and hydration. Olive oil for skin barrier function. This is not a hairball treat or a fiber supplement — it's a complete, nutritionally sophisticated frozen cat food that treats hairballs as the multi-dimensional problem they are. 450g per pack, portioned into three 150g servings. Egyptian-made by The Fresh Pack, exclusively at petfast.shop.

Why The Fresh Pack Duck Care Hairball Relief Is The Best Choice

  • Natural Fiber for Easy Hairball Passage — Dietary fiber from pumpkin, sweet potato, zucchini, and carrots supports smooth digestive transit — helping ingested hair pass through the digestive system rather than accumulating into hairballs.
  • Omega-Rich for Coat Health — Reduces Shedding at the Source — Salmon oil (Omega-3) and chia seeds (plant Omega-3) improve coat quality and reduce shedding — less loose hair means less hair ingested during grooming, fewer hairballs forming.
  • Greek Yogurt — Gut Health & Transit Support — Probiotic cultures support a healthy gut microbiome that improves digestive motility — helping ingested hair move through the digestive tract more efficiently.
  • Duck as Primary Protein — Novel & Hypoallergenic — Duck is a genuinely novel protein for most cats — ideal for cats with chicken or fish sensitivities, and a rich, flavorful alternative that most cats find highly appealing.
  • Eggs — Complete Protein & Biotin — One of the most complete protein sources available, rich in biotin (the skin and coat vitamin) that directly supports keratin synthesis and coat health.
  • Turmeric — Anti-Inflammatory Support — Curcumin's anti-inflammatory properties support gut lining health and reduce the inflammation that can contribute to digestive sensitivity and hairball-related vomiting.
  • Broth — Hydration & Palatability — Supports daily hydration (critical for cats who are chronically under-hydrated on dry food diets) and provides the deep umami flavor that makes this formula irresistible.
  • 3 × 150g Individual Portions — Pre-portioned for convenience — thaw one serving at a time, no waste, no refreezing.
  • Egyptian-Made Exclusive — The Fresh Pack is a petfast.shop exclusive Egyptian brand — locally produced, freshly made, and consistently available.

Product Details & Features

Understanding Hairballs — A Multi-Dimensional Problem Hairballs are one of the most common and frustrating health issues in cats — and most hairball products address only one dimension of the problem. The Fresh Pack Duck Care Hairball Relief is formulated to address all three simultaneously:

Dimension 1 — Shedding (the source) Hairballs form because cats ingest loose hair during grooming. The more a cat sheds, the more hair is ingested, and the more hairballs form. Reducing shedding at the source — through improved coat health — is the most effective long-term hairball prevention strategy. The Omega-rich formula (salmon oil + chia seeds) improves coat quality, reduces hair follicle inflammation, and decreases shedding — meaning less hair is available to be ingested in the first place.

Dimension 2 — Digestive transit (the passage) Hair that is ingested during grooming must either pass through the digestive system or be vomited up as a hairball. A digestive system with adequate fiber, good motility, and a healthy microbiome moves ingested hair through efficiently — reducing the accumulation that leads to hairball formation. The Duck Care formula addresses this through:

  • Dietary fiber from pumpkin, sweet potato, zucchini, and carrots — supporting smooth digestive transit
  • Greek yogurt probiotics — supporting a healthy gut microbiome that improves digestive motility
  • Broth — supporting hydration, which is essential for smooth digestive transit (dehydration is a major contributor to constipation and hairball accumulation)

Dimension 3 — Gut inflammation (the environment) Chronic gut inflammation compromises digestive motility and gut barrier integrity — making it harder for the digestive system to move ingested hair through efficiently. Turmeric's curcumin directly reduces gut inflammation, creating a healthier digestive environment that supports smooth transit.

Duck — The Novel Protein Advantage for Cats Duck is one of the most genuinely novel proteins available in cat food — the vast majority of commercial cat foods use chicken, tuna, or salmon as their primary protein. Most cats have never been exposed to duck, making it:

  • Ideal for elimination diets — For cats with suspected food sensitivities, duck provides a clean novel protein for diagnostic elimination diet protocols.
  • Ideal for chicken-sensitive cats — Cats who react to chicken (the most common protein in commercial cat food) often tolerate duck well — it provides a complete, nutritious alternative without the extreme novelty of rabbit or the heaviness of beef.
  • Highly palatable — Duck has a rich, distinctive flavor that most cats find highly appealing — often more so than chicken. The natural fat content of duck adds flavor depth that makes this formula particularly attractive to selective eaters.
  • Complete protein — Duck provides all essential amino acids, including taurine (critical for cats), in a highly digestible form.
  • Rich in iron — Duck is naturally higher in iron than chicken — supporting oxygen transport and energy metabolism.

Eggs — The Complete Protein & Biotin Source Eggs are one of the most nutritionally complete foods available — and their inclusion in the Duck Care formula serves multiple functions:

  • Complete protein — Eggs have a biological value of 100 — the highest of any food — meaning they provide all essential amino acids in the exact proportions the body needs, with virtually no waste.
  • Biotin (Vitamin B7) — The "skin and coat vitamin" — directly supports keratin synthesis (the structural protein of hair and skin). Biotin deficiency causes dry, brittle coat and skin deterioration. Eggs are one of the richest natural sources of biotin.
  • Choline — Supports liver function, brain health, and cellular membrane integrity.
  • Lutein and zeaxanthin — Antioxidants that accumulate in the retina and protect against age-related vision deterioration.
  • Vitamin D — Supports calcium absorption and bone health.
  • Palatability — Eggs add a rich, creamy flavor dimension that enhances the overall palatability of the formula.

Greek Yogurt — Gut Microbiome & Transit Support Greek yogurt's probiotic cultures (Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium species) support the gut microbiome — the community of beneficial bacteria that plays a central role in digestive motility, gut barrier integrity, and immune function. A healthy gut microbiome:

  • Improves the efficiency of digestive transit — helping ingested hair move through the system rather than accumulating
  • Supports gut barrier integrity — reducing the leaky gut that contributes to food sensitivities and chronic digestive upset
  • Produces short-chain fatty acids that support colon health and motility

Greek yogurt is also significantly lower in lactose than regular dairy — most cats tolerate it well. If your cat has a known dairy sensitivity, introduce this formula gradually and monitor for digestive response.

Salmon Oil & Chia Seeds — The Omega Coat Foundation

  • Salmon oil (Omega-3 — EPA & DHA) — The most bioavailable source of anti-inflammatory Omega-3. Reduces hair follicle inflammation, supports skin barrier integrity, and improves coat quality — directly reducing shedding.
  • Chia seeds (Omega-3 — ALA) — Plant-based Omega-3 that complements salmon oil's EPA/DHA, plus soluble fiber that supports digestive transit, calcium, and antioxidants.

Turmeric — The Anti-Inflammatory Foundation Curcumin, turmeric's active compound, provides:

  • Gut lining anti-inflammatory support — reducing the inflammation that compromises digestive motility
  • Systemic anti-inflammatory benefit — supporting joint health and immune function
  • Antioxidant protection — neutralizing free radicals that damage gut cells and skin cells

Olive Oil — Skin Barrier & Coat Softness Olive oil's Omega-9 monounsaturated fatty acids support skin barrier function and coat softness — complementing salmon oil's Omega-3 for a complete fatty acid profile that addresses coat health from multiple angles.

Feeding Guidelines

Cat Weight Daily Amount
Up to 3 kg 60–80g per day (½ portion)
3–5 kg 80–150g per day (½–1 portion)
5–7 kg 150g per day (1 portion)

Divide daily amount into 2–3 meals. For cats with active hairball issues, feed consistently every day — the fiber and Omega benefits require sustained daily input to produce results. Adjust based on your cat's activity level and body condition.

Serving Instructions

  1. Thaw — Remove one 150g portion from the freezer and thaw in the refrigerator for 8–12 hours, or at room temperature for 1–2 hours.
  2. Serve at room temperature — Cats are highly sensitive to food temperature — always allow to reach room temperature before serving.
  3. Do not microwave — Degrades heat-sensitive Omega-3 fatty acids, probiotics in the Greek yogurt, biotin, and turmeric's curcumin.
  4. Do not refreeze — Once thawed, use within 24 hours and store in the refrigerator.
  5. Transition gradually — Mix with current food over 7–10 days — cats are notoriously resistant to abrupt dietary changes.

When to Expect Results

  • Week 1–2: Improved stool consistency and digestive regularity as fiber and probiotics take effect.
  • Week 2–4: Reduced frequency of hairball vomiting as digestive transit improves.
  • Week 3–6: Visible coat improvement — softer, less rough, beginning to show gloss — as Omega accumulation reduces shedding.
  • Week 6–10: Significant reduction in shedding and hairball formation — the long-term result of improved coat health at the source.

Cleans without any harsh fragrance or residue
Scent: Fragrance Free, Size: 12 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I got tired of other overly-scented hand soaps and decided to give this a try. It works well for a quick wash after using the toilet and when you're hands are really dirty. It rinses off easily and quickly. While it's unscented, it does have a smell - it's hard to describe, sort of like a bleach-clean scent but, it definitely does NOT smell like bleach. It just smells "clean." Since it's in the bathroom, it also gets used to clean up some other adult things. Since it isn't scented and doesn't leave any residue it's perfect for things that are in close contact with sensitive areas.

Must Use FOAMING SOAP BOTTLE for this soap & you will Love it!
Scent: Fragrance Free, Size: 64 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I have been using this soap refill for years and love it. I also use the scented versions when this is out of stock and they are not very strong scent. But if you prefer no fragrance, then this is a great soap. Many reviewers are complaining it is watery and thin. YES, IT IS. It is SUPPOSED to be. If you don't know how foaming soap works, you do need a couple pumps of foaming soap but you are using a fraction of the amount of soap you would use (aka WASTE) with standard soap. Have you ever seen your kid pump soap in the bathroom? Not once, or twice, but three or four times? Well, they can do that with this soap and not waste it because it's half air in each pump. It's SUPPOSED to be for foaming hand soap. Don't get fooled by your costly regular or foaming soap. Buy this and have clean hands and SAVE money! My family has very sensitive skin and nobody gets rough, red hands from this soap. No problems. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE FOAMING SOAP DISPENSERS FOR THIS PRODUCT: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PVFXSVC/ref=sbl_dpx_bath-accessories-countertop-soap-dispensers_B07Z8J57J7_0?th=1 UPDATE ON REVIEW (August 2020): I recently just ordered this item and it was delivered with new packaging. I thought it was the same product, but it seems to have additional ingredients now including alcohol. Hm. Need to look closer into this and will update when figure out what has changed. UPDATE ON INGREDIENTS (October 2020): The new formula is now showing the ingredients. It has changed. A lot. One ingredient that was removed is PHENOXYETHANOL which is GREAT they removed that! However, if they only removed that, then this would be an amazingly safe hand soap (by EWG standards it would be golden). However, it is a completely different soap with a completely different list of ingredients. I will wait until the EWG rates these ingredients before continuing to purchase this. As other reviewers have noted, it does now have "fragrance" in the ingredients - and misleadingly states "(natural)" next to the word fragrance, which means absolutely nothing in terms of what is allowed and what is not. Do your research on what the word "fragrance" means on labels and what could possibly be in your product under that ingredient. In addition it now does have alcohol in it, which some may like, however I don't think soap needs it. If you are washing, you don't need to sanitize anything. It's overkill ingredient - not needed and dries your hands out.

Cruelty free and works well!
Scent: Fragrance Free, Size: 12 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
This soap lasts a long time. One bottle lasts one person roughly 3 weeks to a month, depending on frequency of hand washing in a day. It has a slight smell if you get near it that to me smells like a fresh clean smell. It is cruelty free and when I researched the brand, not tested on animals. It also seems like it is made out of healthy ingredients. Overall I will keep buying it.
