A stringent shot-peening and heat treatment process is applied to the HKS valve springs to provide durable and consistent spring rates over time. Applications with high revving engines will benefit from HKS valve springs, as the risk of valve-float and coil-bind is greatly reduced due to their specific design and construction.

Valve spring performance is very important for valves to follow accurate cam profile.
1. Compatible with High RPM Engines
As engine rpm rises, valves must open and close in a shorter time and so requires stronger Valve Springs in order to apply sufficient pressure.
2. Ensuring Close-Contact
When changing to high lift cams, proper contact between the valves and the cams can be lost which leads to valve float. HKS Valve spring use the highest quality materials, heat treatment and shot-peening to create a high durability spring with low inertia.
