This subspecies has slightly more wavy (sinuate) leaf margins, giving it an even more dramatic appearance compared to the typical Cussonia paniculata. The tree has a thick, corky trunk that stores water, making it highly drought-tolerant and perfectly suited to dry or low-maintenance landscapes.
