Seven inch vinyl pressing. Finally opening up the garage after eight months of deep winter, Chandeliers are hopping in the black Chrysler LeBaron convertible, and rumbling down Western Ave to a bubbling, dark and sensual soundtrack called "High Diamond". A gothic synth-funk house beat pumps the blood of this diamond, brooding and mood-altering, evoking a feeling that there is something menacing going on just blocks away, but for now, we are here, and we will dance. The flip side "Snake Bomb", is a wicked, reptilian instrumental, where the promises of our new snake democracy lies in the power of those with their hands on the synthesizers and drum machines. With a trapped-out drum kit pushing us into the future, and industrial metallic synth bombs being hurled over our newly shed skins lying on the sand next to us, "Snake Bomb" spins us at 45 revolutions per minute into some distant but oddly familiar past, when we were still trying to escape from our lizard leaders.

I Hate This Book, BUT You HAVE to Purchase It....Unfortunately

It's not that I really hate this book, I more hate the organizations that produces this book. First, I'm assuming this has not been done, but the editors of all the "prestigious" law reviews who write and edit this book need to get their act together and hire a professional company to rework the appendix and table of contents to be more helpful! The information is surely in the book, but it's unnecessarily overly difficult to find the information you're looking for. The Blue Book(tm) indeed has a monopoly on the legal citation market, which is why you MUST purchase it (unless you'd prefer to look like a moron when you submit your documents to the court only to have them sent back because nothing was cited properly...you don't want to be known as "that attorney").
Ok, I'm amending my complaint/review. The book is not too bad once you spend around 100 hours with it. After that, you'll get the hang of it and the book is not that bad. Although, I still stand behind my last review recommending that the editors provide a better table of contents and index.

It’s a Bluebook!

What can I say about the Bluebook...I hate it because it means I’m working my butt off if I’m using it. It’s a necessary evil, and there’s no competition for legal writing!

Gift for a rising 1L
I wanted to provide a graduating undergraduate mentee with practical resources for law school as a graduation gift. I ordered this and Barron's Law Dictionary: Mass Market Edition. While she hasn't yet used either book, as a law professor, I am confident she will get good use out of both. This is a law school staple. You cannot lose in buying it for a new law student.
