• TRAVEL THE FAMED TOKAIDO ROAD: Welcome to the Tokaido, the legendary East Sea Road connecting Kyoto to Edo, in Japan. In Tokaido, each player is a traveler crossing the "East Sea Road", one of the most magnificent roads of Japan. Here you will begin an extraordinary journey during which you will discover a thousand marvels.
• SET COLLECTION: While traveling, you will meet people, taste fine meals, collect beautiful items, discover great panoramas and visit temples and wild places but at the end of the day, when everyone has arrived at the end of the road you'll have to be the most initiated traveler – which means that you'll have to be the one who discovered the most interesting and varied things.
• STRATEGY BOARD GAME: Action spaces are laid out on a linear track with players advancing down this track to take actions. Players must choose whether to advance slowly along the track in order to get more turns or to travel more rapidly to beat other players to their desired action spaces.
• STONEMAIER VERSION: Our version includes an Automa solo mode, expanding the player count to 1-5 players. Our verision also includes component quality upgrades, a revised rulebook (the gameplay is the same), reference cards, and adds some text on cards and character tiles to accompnay the icons.
• WONDERFULLY DESIGNED AND ILLUSTRATED: Light-weight, elegant, and zen worker placement strategy game created by Antoine Bauza (7 Wonders, Takenoko). Beautifully illustrated by Naïade (Seasons).

• THEMATICALLY DESIGNED MECHANISMS: Traveling along the busy Tokaido road, you will need to stop at Inns along the way and get some food, you may need to take a break from your travels to work on a farm for some extra money, and you’ll want to collect souvenirs for friends and family back home. All of these elements are richly apparent in the design for Tokaido.
