Spanish Civil War Battles is a two-player simulation of Spanish Civil War Battles, with Jarama and Brunete being covered in this issue (Guadalajara 1937 & Panarroya being covered in S&T #219).  Game scale is one mile per hex and one day per turn.  Units represent various echelons.

The Battle of Jarama was the result of General Francisco Franco's attempt to capture Madrid, capital of Republican Spain.  Facing a bloody stalement in front of the city, Franco launched his Nationalist armies in a two-pronged offensive to encircle the city from the north and south.  The southern arm of the thrust across the River Jarama to cut off the vitial Valencia road began on February 6th 1937.

After months of stalemate before Madrid, the Brunete offensive beginning on July 6th 1937 was the Republicans attempt to go on the attack.  It was intended to relieve the captial.  The Republicans meant it as a show of strength with the best armor, aircraft and material allocated.  The result was not what they intended.

10/10
Number of Items: 6, Color: Black (6-pack), Size: X-Large
These black T shirts are a great buy. The quality is solid, the material feels comfortable, and they fit really well without being too tight or too loose. They hold their shape after washing and the color stays nice and dark. Perfect for everyday wear, whether it is for layering or just a simple outfit. The multipack makes it even better value for the price. Definitely worth it and I would buy again.

Good quality and value for my son!
Number of Items: 5, Color: Black/Sport Grey/Charcoal, Size: Large
I bought the Gildan Men’s Crew T-Shirts multipack on Amazon for my 12-year-old son, who is on the heavier side and thus sometimes difficult to shop for. Pre-teen kids grow fast and go through clothes quickly, so I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on basics he’ll probably outgrow in a year. These shirts are really affordable, especially for a multipack, and the quality is surprisingly good for the price. The fabric is soft and comfortable, and my son says they feel good to wear all day at school. They’re lightweight and did not shrink after washing. I also like that the shirts don’t get stretched out like some cheaper T-shirts do. The fit works well for him too. They’re simple, classic crew neck tees that can be worn on their own or layered under hoodies and jackets. We’ve used them for school and just everyday wear. Another thing I appreciate is that they’re easy to care for. I just toss them in the wash and dryer and they come out looking fine every time. Overall, these are a great value. If you need affordable, comfortable basic T-shirts for a growing kid (or an adult!), this pack is definitely worth buying.

Nice
Number of Items: 5, Color: Navy/Charcoal/Cardinal Red, Size: Large
My husband really likes the quality of these t-shirts. They fit nicely and dont have a sagging neckline as some t-shirts tend to have. The colors are nice and they wash up well. Not a heavy so comfortable for everyday use whether relaxing, doing yard work etc
