About the Author

Yvette L. Forbes is an ordained minister of the Gospel and holds a Master of Divinity degree from Oral Roberts University. Forbes also holds a Masters of Public Administration from Clark Atlanta University and a Bachelor of Science in Consumer Education from Spelman College. She is a Bible teacher in Aflame School of Ministry and Mentoring. Forbes is an Intercessor with the Missionary Network Inc. and acts as a South Florida coordinator for the Minister’s Prayer Network of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Yvette L. Forbes is a member of Word Explosion Ministries and is the Overseer of Chosen Vessels of Jesus Christ Ministries.

I highly recommend the book, “Buen Camino”, written by Gordon J. Bernhardt. It is focused on his 2018, 35-day pilgrimage/trek called the Camino de Santiago, or The Way of Saint James. The walk starts in the Pyrennes at St Jean Pied de Port in France and ends at the Santiago de Compostela Cathedral in northern Spain, then to the coastal towns of Muxia and Finisterre, 618 miles later. Gordon shares what the pilgrimage meant to him as a way to reset his life, his interaction with the pilgrims along the way and the life lessons learned, how to handle unexpected problems and opportunities, and the importance of stepping away from our busy lives to help us focus on the true priorities. He blends his experience on the Camino with his profession in wealth management, and how helping/interacting with people in his personal, professional, and spiritual life has enriched his existence. After reading this book, you will walk (pardon the pun) with a different view of what is truly important in your life.
