all ports function well

Fairly effective.
While I didn't bother reading instructions, it functioned as I intuitively thought with some slight troubleshooting.
For example, using the correct USB-C for power or data. Connections to support an external monitor needs power toggling occasionally. Patience paid off.
Expected a subpar Chinese knock-off (with questionable safety standards). But works very well, but can get warm.

Lots of great uses for this.
This hub is essential for a Quest or other virtual reality headset if you want to stream HDMI video to it. It allows you to hook up the HDMI source AND a power supply to feed to the headset to prevent the battery from running down.

This device is very low quality, worked just once for few minutes with my macbook pro with my teleprompter and that's about it. I couldn't use it anymore. Defective device. trying to get a replacement.
