The Only Game in Town: Baseball Stars of the 1930s and 1940s Talk about the Game They LovedThe 1930s was the era of such baseball legends as Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Foxx, Hank Greenberg, and Joe DiMaggio. In The Only Game in Town, pitcher Elden Auker recalls what it was like to face these sluggers, while Red Sox outfielder Dom DiMaggio remembers how he nearly ended his brother Joe's record hitting streak. The 1930s was the era of such baseball legends as Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Foxx, Hank Greenberg, and Joe DiMaggio. In The Only Game in Town, pitcher Elden Auker recalls what it was like to face these sluggers, while Red Sox outfielder Dom DiMaggio remembers how he nearly ended his brother Joe's record hitting streak. Then, in the 1940s, baseball underwent tremendous change. First came World War II, and stars such as Bob Feller and future star Warren Spahn -- both among the ten ballplayers who discuss their playing days in this book -- left the game to serve their country. When the war ended, integration came to baseball. Jackie Robinson was soon followed by other outstanding African-American ballplayers, including Larry Doby and Monte Irvin, both of whom recall their pioneering experiences in Major League Baseball. Buck O'Neil describes scouting and coaching the next generation of African-American ballplayers and helping them make it into the major leagues. Johnny Pesky and Tommy Henrich recall great Red Sox-Yankees rivalries, but from opposite sides, while Ralph Kiner remembers his remarkable ten-year stretch as the most feared home-run hitter of his day.

The ten ballplayers who spoke with Fay Vincent for this fascinating book bring back to life baseball from a bygone time. Their stories make The Only Game in Town a must-have for all baseball fans.

Great & very convenient charger, only one issue
Color: 2Black
This charger wound up being everything I hoped for - it charges a Galaxy S26 fast and works with a wireless charger compatible phone case. Despite all this, I'm taking a star off for the fact that *you have to buy an aftermarket converter* for it, because for some ridiculous reason, its cable end isn't a USB type A (which your previous phone's converters and probably many of your home's outlets use), but requires a 30W (no less) USB-C. So, there goes another $10 for the converter. Actually you'll probably want to buy two, for at least two rooms at your home, so there goes another $20.

Absolute trash.
Color: 2White
Neither charger worked on arrival... Quite disappointed. Now I'm steering away from every item that has the same markings. Just shelling out for a better quality charger... Not worth it at all... It's incredibly irritating having 2 DoA chargers... Tried on 5 different phones and 10 different blocks.

Charges slowly and makes phone/charger really hot.
Color: 2White
I thought these would be great, but they aren't. I use them with a 25w charging block, but they charger my iPhone so slowly! I can't really use the phone for any games or even scrolling TikTok while the charger is on it because the phone uses power faster than these mag-chargers can charge the phone. The phone also overheats when this charger is on it. Never had that problem with a lightning charger. Basically these are only good when you won't be using the phone, and it takes a long time. Not very happy with them.
