You might have noticed the name "fancy sort" on this one. Believe it or not, that's a technical term in the world of coffee jargon. It means that only the finest beans from a variety of producers in the same region are hard-sorted to create a premium blend of coffee. It's a great way to experience a single origin's top-quality beans. Think of it as these beans are the best of the best specialty coffee beans Costa Rica's West Valley has to offer. It's also a great way for farmers to work together to maximize the value of their crops. Win win!

The beans themselves are fully washed and then sun-dried on raised beds. This results in a bright, clean and sparkly cup of coffee. When we first cupped the test roast, the first thing that jumped out at our tastebuds was caramel. This is pretty common with specialty coffee from Central American - it's known for it's sweet nuttiness.

It also has a sweet, toasty, cake-like flavour. It made us think of stroopwafels. Here in Chilliwack, we're pretty familiar with this treat. It's two thin waffles with caramel sauce in the middle (yeah, they're delicious).

The sweetness is balanced with a touch of mild acidity. It's not as intense as the citrus notes you might get from a light roast. It's more like tart cranberry, but just a hint.

This is a super approachable and balanced coffee. If you love specialty coffee from Costa Rica, this one is going to float your boat and leave you feeling fancy.

Not new condition; not gift-worthy; no turn off switch
Format: Board book, Format: Board book
FIRST Biggest downfall is that baby can’t just turn the gears and look at the book. I see no turnoff switch and the slightest touch to the gears sets off rather loud/obnoxious and random sounds - clanging & moos in additions to choochoos. SECOND, not in new condition. I should’ve known this when I took the package out of the mailbox and it started clanging (batteries in). Scratches on the front cover; worn cover edges; not gift-worthy

Amazing value for the price - perfect for my 2 year old book lover!
Format: Hardcover
This is an amazing value! My 2yo loves books and princesses, and I am trying to work on her independence (and find screen free activities). She was able to figure out the reader on her own, and can easily follow along. Of course, she would rather I do it with her but we're working on it. The pages are very thin paper, but that's ok considering the price for 8 books. Just might want to keep an eye on little hands. The art work doesn't look cheap, and despite the delicate pages the books are good quality. The reader is cool, sound quality is meh but again, under $20. I wish the box didn't have display holes so it would be a better storage case, but even the cardboard is pretty good so I can make it work. I will definitely be gifting this and buying more for my girl because you cannot beat the value of this!
