Benefits

Maintaining your pet's oral and dental hygiene is crucial. Since they can't communicate their discomfort, it's essential to regularly check their gums and teeth. Chewing on Zeal® Pet Treats can help eliminate plaque and tartar build-up. Regularly brushing your pet's teeth is also recommended!

Treats for training sessions: Treats serve as an excellent aid in training as they help keep your pet focused on you and the learning process, regardless of their age. For training purposes, treats should be small and easy to swallow, requiring minimal chewing so you can promptly reward desired behaviors. Ideal training treats are soft and about the size of a pea. Pets typically care less about the size of the treat; it's the amount that impresses them. Larger treats are better suited for rewarding good behavior, as they require your pet to stop, chew, and take their time enjoying it.

How to use dog treats effectively: The best way to use treats is to encourage a calm, submissive demeanor. Avoid using treats to reward an overly excited or hyper state. Always allow your pet to sniff the treat first, holding it just out of reach and waiting. Remember, pets, especially dogs, can smell from over 5 meters away, so there's no need to put the treat directly under their nose. Once they catch the scent, dogs may initially bounce around or even jump on you. If this occurs, convey your disapproval through your attitude and body language; your patience as an owner will be rewarded with a well-behaved pet. They will soon learn that a calm and collected approach yields results, sitting and waiting while gazing at you in eager anticipation. At the moment of calm, reward them with the treat. Avoid using treats to reinforce an excited pet; instead, use them to promote a calm, submissive state.

Feeding Guidelines

Don’t over-treat ~ While it may be tempting when your furry companion begs for more, resist the urge to be overly generous and keep treats in moderation. Treats are intended to supplement your pet’s diet. Just like us, too many treats can lead to weight gain and disrupt the balance of your pet's diet, which must be complete and balanced for their health. Ideally, treats should not exceed 10% of your pet's daily calorie intake, so adjust regular meal portions accordingly to prevent weight gain, taking into account what they have consumed in treats during training sessions. This also applies to treats given as general rewards for good behavior. Failing to do so could result in gradual weight gain, which is detrimental to your pet's health.

Treat Wise ~ We always suggest supervising your pet while they enjoy treats, especially when introducing a new one. Some dogs (not as common with cats) can be overly eager when it comes to tasty snacks and might not chew properly, leading to potential choking hazards.

When to reward your pet with treats ~ The best time to offer treats is between meals, rather than immediately before or after a meal. Choose a treat that your pet will relish. If you're using treats as a training aid, they won't be as effective if given right after a full meal.

What kind of treats suit your pet's breed, size, and age?
We advise that your pet enjoys treats under supervision, especially when trying something new. Many dogs tend to gulp down treats without adequate chewing, so watch over all sizes and ages until you are confident they can handle them safely. Cats typically nibble on treats without trying to consume them in seconds. Smaller dogs might find larger items like shanks a bit too big, while larger dogs may attempt to gulp down medium-sized harder treats without chewing. Older pets with dental issues may require softer chews, so it's important to assess your pet’s size and eating habits.

Hmmm.
Format: Paperback
LOVED Pharaohs and Kings. Agree with New Chronology. But here, there is much to disagree with as he tries to explain away pre-flood events, he ties in Scripture with other local peoples ancient stories in ways that make God and His works look like a local god, little "g" - nothing to see here kind of god. The angel God places at the entrance to the Garden of Eden with a fiery sword a demon? The ark made out of reeds? Local flood, etc. I annotated the first half of this book to death, but after the flood, I annotated less and less as there was much more to agree with. I am open minded - I know there is archeological evidence as well as epigraphical evidence. But if it completely disagrees with Biblical text, it cannot work. I like Dave Rohl. You will probably get a lot out of most of the book, but he takes us completely down a different path than I expected pre-flood.

GREAT!!!
Format: Paperback
I have huge amounts of respect for this guy. He is so intelligent and really researches things, he is one of those people who sees what the average guy cant. This book is great and fascinating. cant put it down. I hate these books that are clearly not the truth but they just want to make money selling books...THIS IS NOT ONE OF THOSE... It is real info that is true history.

A Truly Epic History
Format: Paperback
This book was awesome and went through the history of the people of the bible from the very beginnings. It's a fascinating read using the new chronology, which is backed up with astronomical events and archaeology. It's not an easy read with all the information in it, but it is worth every minute spent reading it. I think anyone who is interested in Biblical history or archaeology would find this book very interesting.

Obvious deduction with roots in both new and old archeology.
Format: Paperback
The Iron Age seemed to have its beginning several hundred years earlier than has been officially declared. That was my assumption after researching for a historical fiction novel during 1750 B.C.E. period. I began the current research in January of 2013. I'm not a archeologist, have no desire to be one. I'm not related to any archeologists. But I respect the the discipline, scholarship and dedication required to be a good one. After a year of research discovery my girlfriend was well versed with my newly formed assumption about the chronology of these times verses the old school beliefs. Referencing some material in this vain of research I stumbled across Rohl's work. To my utter delight I find out there has been a N.C. movement growing for twenty years. Good work and plausible scenarios are laid out for pure intellectual amazement and entertainment for the imagination inside these pages. Buy it now. Enjoy Zak
