Famed Picasso biographer and art historian Sir John Richardson opens the doors of residences from his life, revealing an autobiographical sketch through handsomely decorated rooms filled with art, antiques, and intriguing mementoes, each with a special story. John Richardson's Bohemian Aristocrat interiors are, and have been throughout his life, filled with fine English and American antiques; interesting textiles; works of art by friends, legendary artists Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque, Lucian Freud, Andy Warhol, and Robert Mapplethorpe; vivid color combinations; and objects that prompt stories from a well-lived life. From London and the stately buildings of Stowe School, in the idyllic Buckinghamshire countryside, to the south of France, New York City, and the Connecticut countryside, Richardson shares the story of his life through places, objects, and people--a form of autobiography, gloriously illustrated, entertainingly told. In stories about his residences in the south of France (at the Chateau de Castille with celebrated art historian and collector Douglas Cooper), London (a set of rooms at the famed Albany apartment house), and the United States (glamorous New York City apartments and a country retreat in Connecticut), Richardson reveals his life through a m lange of interesting places, mementoes, works of art, furnishings that prompt stories, and an endlessly fascinating assortment of friends and acquaintances--Fernand L ger, Lady Diana Cooper, Fran Lebowitz, and Oscar and Annette de la Renta, to name a few. Essential reading for those interested in twentieth-century art and social history, grandly livable interiors, and the good life., John Richardson's Bohemian Aristocrat interiors are, and have been throughout his life, filled with fine English and American antiques; interesting textiles; works of art by friends, legendary artists Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque, Lucian Freud, Andy Warhol, and Robert Mapplethorpe; vivid colour combinations; and objects that prompt stories from a well-lived life. Oddly shaped dress
Size: Large, Color: Black
I retuned it because the shape of the dress was little off. I really wanted to like the dress but I didn’t .

Cute for warm weather, but consider sizing down!
Size: X-Small, Color: Golden Yellow Beige Multi Folk Floral
I liked this dress and probably would have kept it if it fit me. The material is not very thick, but I think thin cotton is ideal for a summer dress anyway. The slightly glossy/shiny feel of the sateen is a bit unusual, but didn't bother me. I LOVE that it has pockets. Just keep in mind that something heavy like a phone will weigh the skirt down and make it sit slightly differently. Can't speak to the long-term durability or how it washes, but the overall construction looked decent - no unraveling seams or glaring quality control issues. Sadly, it does not seem TTS to me. I am 5'2", 115lb. Bought my usual XS. It hit about mid-shin, so not too long, but it was quite large, especially in the chest and waist. It was less noticeable with the skirt since it is loose and pretty forgiving - if you are bottom-heavy and nervous about sizing down to fit your upper body, I wouldn't worry too much.

Great for the price. And POCKETS!
Size: X-Large, Color: Black, Size: X-Large, Color: Black
I don’t have a full body shot but the dress is lovely. I bought it for a party and it was comfortable the entire evening. Very light and not sheer. It fit very well and of course POCKETS! I will wear it again I’m sure. I don’t know if it will last for very long in the future, but for the price it is simply worth it to have a nice light dress for the summer.

Love this dress. It’s cute and light weight and the length is perfect for me. I also love the fluttering sleeves.
