New 2021 Design – Reverse Changes

For the first time in the history of the American Silver Eagle, the United States Mint has unveiled a change in the design of the coins in the silver and gold range. After an exhaustive comparison of as many as 34 different designs to possibly replace the John Mercanti image of the heraldic eagle. In the end, the US Mint and the Secretary of the Treasury selected a design from Emily Damstra that reimagines the American bald eagle on the reverse. The new design for the coin’s reverse starting in 2021 includes:

  • The powerful American bald eagle is depicted flying back toward its nest with its wings spread out behind its figures and its talons clutching the branch of an oak tree, almost as if the bird is working to build its nest with that branch. The inscriptions remain the same as previous American Silver Eagles and are arranged with “United States of America” along the left and top design rim, with “One Dollar” and “1 oz Fine Silver” inscribed along the right and bottom design rims. Just above the weight and metal content is an interior inscription of “E Pluribus Unum.”

The release of a new design on the reverse of the American Silver Eagle and American Gold Eagle in 2021 is not random. The 2021 release of the coins marks the 35th anniversary of the series and marks the perfect time for the US Mint to transition the visuals on the coin to help the Silver Eagle continue to dominate well into the 21st century.

Adorable and Functional
My 6-year-old loves this toothbrush. It's cute and fun and easay to hold. While I don't think dinosaurs are necessarily his thing, its cartoony enough that he appreciates it. I thought the vibration modes might be a little too powerful for him, but apparently not because he's been using it for a month and I haven't heard any complaints: I definitely would if there was a problem. The rubberized coating on it is handy for the inevitable dropping it because toothpaste gets on it and it becomes too slippery, or it gets bumped off the bathroom counter. I do wish the stand was set up to allow charging while sitting in it, but you can't have everything I guess. The brush size is perfect for him, not too large or too small. While it does have a noticeable sound, it isn't excessively loud either in the mouth or outside of it.

Cute toothbrush!
This toothbrush has an excellent design. The little dinosaur is cute, and the spaceship bottom is just the cherry on top. I do wish the bottom was a charger too, but the battery life is supposedly 75 days so it should not be on the charger much anyways. It looks pretty good, and the lower sonic function seems soft enough of a vibration that my 5 year old should be fine with it (he has his first loose tooth right now, so was a bit concerned). I think it cleans and brushes well. The documentation states these are dupont brush heads, and it comes with 4 of them. As a side note, there is one that will be out of the bag. Grab that one for the initial head, not the ones in the bag like I did. I think its fairly durable as well. It didn't feel too heavy or too light, or more importantly too flimsy. I like it has some different modes, I didn't honestly notice until I went back to look at the documentation that this was possible. The big thing to keep in mind here is does your toddler deal well with vibration. My 5 year old seems cool with it so far, though you should still supervise them so they don't brush too hard.

Base isnt a charger, But otherwise its decent.
The overall quality of this product is high. It worked and funcioned as expected. My toddler hated it. He couldnt deal with the vibration even on the toddler steeing. It has 2 settings for different age ranges but you have to go through them every time you turn it on. This would have been better as a selector switch somewhere else that remained in place. The base is NOT A CHARGER. that was very dissapointing. Not only is the base NOT a charger, you cant even plug the toothbrush in and then let it sit in the charger. The should have just made the base...the charger. Plug that in and leave it and that way the tooth brush stays charged all the time. Overall other than the base being a dissapointment this isnt a terrible toothbrush. If your child is ok with the vibration they will probably love this.
