節氣「穀雨」在「清明」之後，此時雨水增加，作物增長，古諺「穀雨始，萬物生」。穀雨是與茶葉連結最深的節氣，大陸西湖龍井有所謂「明前茶」和「雨前茶」，雨前茶是在穀雨前採收的春茶，屬上品。
