At six years of age, after winning a foot race against a white classmate, Jennifer Baszile was humiliated to hear her classmate explain that black people "have something in their feet to make them run faster than white people." When she asked her teacher about it, it was confirmed as true. The next morning, Jennifer's father accompanied her to school, careful to "assert himself as an informed and concerned parent and not simply a big, black, dangerous man in a first-grade classroom." This was the first of many skirmishes in Jennifer's childhood-long struggle to define herself as "the black girl next door" while living out her parents' dreams. Success for her was being the smartest and achieving the most, with the consequence that much of her girlhood did not seem like her own but more like the "family project." But integration took a toll on everyone in the family when strain in her parents' marriage emerged in her teenage years, and the struggle to be the perfect black family became an unbearable burden. Great addition to our home
Model: Model B with Removable Tray
Putting together took a little time but instructions included were easy for me to follow. Putting the screws in for the shelves required a little work to get then started but nothing that I would say would be a problem to do. It is very sturdy and looks great in our room we are transforming into a hangout/bar area. I can't wait to get all my accessories in to add to it and display all my nice bottles I have. Great cart for the price.

My Cart Worked Out Perfectly For Me - Update: I got a second cart
Model: Model B with Removable Tray
Delivered sooner than promised. All pieces were present. All parts were in good condition. Assembly was done by a professional who thought the product was well done and needed very few adjustments. The cart rolls smoothly, is very sturdy, is a great size, looks attractive and is perfect for my needs. I would order one of these again.
Update: I did get a second cart and I am just as happy with this second one as I have been with the first one.
