Enoch: The Book Behind the BibleRobert H. Charles wrote a very long and, some might say, speculative, introduction to his translation of Enoch's and Noah's writings in Oxford's Pseudepigrapha. Robert H. Charles wrote a very long and, some might say, speculative, introduction to his translation of Enoch's and Noah's writings in Oxford's Pseudepigrapha. Charles' attempt to discredit both of these writers is obvious. His claim is that this document was written about 200 B.C. by a group of writers or scribes, pretending to be Enoch or Noah. However, it is nearly impossible to support such ideas because that would force us to conclude that all the other books of the Hebrew Scriptures would have been written on or about the same time. And if we can believe IV Ezra, they at least were restored by scribes after the return from exile. The other conclusion, which most scholars seem to miss, is that ancient writings had to have been copied from earlier manuscripts to be preserved. That these writers or "scribes" may have included their own comments or "corrections" is not in question. Those who copied the Torah and the rest of the Hebrew Scriptures did that in many places. However, evidence shows that the writings of Enoch were preserved by Noah and his sons, and known by Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and his twelve sons, and quoted by Moses, the Prophets, and the Apostles. The book is a completely edited and revised translation of the Book of Enoch based upon the translation by R. H. Charles. Obsolete and obscure words were replaced by their modern counterparts. Old English phrases, pronouns and verbs were also replaced. In some cases it appeared that the translators did not understand what they were translating causing syntax to suffer. This new work makes Enoch's writing come alive and clear. The book also contains introductory commentaries for each of the five "books" and chapters providing evidence of Enoch's writings in the Bible, and the Book of Jasher, the Book of Jubilees, and The Testaments of the Twelve Patriarchs.Binding Type: Paperback

real good
Format: Kindle
This was a solid read for the ABO universe. The characters are great. The smut scenes were well written. And the town is so cute I want to go there. It didn’t have much character development it just felt like I was getting to the characters as they were getting to know each other.

So sweet
Format: Kindle
It’s so unexpectedly sweet that it sneaks up on you. Each character is so unique and charming. I love the openness and honesty among their pack. It really blows me away how wonderful this omegaverse trope plays out.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Needs editing
Format: Kindle
Cute storyline and promising characters, but the lack of editing is painful to read. I would love to read an edited version.

Fantastic writing and non-stop action
Format: Kindle
This is a promising, fantastic beginning to what will be a 4-book series. Some readers may be content to read only the first 2 books, but I think you'll find that the story is so good that you'll want to keep reading books 3 and 4.
Book 1 is about omega Elvana's introduction to the "Starling" brothers and their search for another missing person, Kelly. It's a bit of a rocky start, with deception and betrayal a key element. Hardly an auspicious beginning. Each member has their own path and purpose in the pack. Their interactions and the resulting narrative are so well-written that I found it difficult to put down.
There is a cliffhanger that will have you reaching for book 2 as you finish, so make sure you have it on hand.

Fun read
Format: Kindle
I'm not really into mafia books but I love Roxy Collin's other series so I decided to give it a try. It had the same great romance, spice, swoon-worthy characters and exciting plot that are her signature. Arben was my favorite, although it was a bit sudden how quickly he changed from ignoring her to wanting to be pack. There were almost too many twists/layers of lies to keep track of but I'm looking forward to reading the other books.
The only thing that detracted from the story for me was the need for a bit more proofreading. It was mentioned that Kelly is a female and male at different points, leading me to think she changed her mind at some point about the character's gender but didn't go back and edit it to align in all places. Like another reviewer pointed out, step siblings are different than half siblings. They are incorrectly referred to as step siblings because they (allegedly) share the same biological dad. There are a few other typos as well but those aren't a big deal.
