Jen Chapin, daughter of Harry Chapin, composer and performer of the famous hit "Cat's in the Cradle," is a New York singer-songwriter and activist of urban folk music, deeply committed to social issues. In 2008, together with her husband, bassist Stephan Crump, and saxophonist Chris Cheek, she released the album "ReVisions – Songs of Stevie Wonder," in which she reinterpreted songs by the renowned American singer-songwriter, musician, and producer to contribute musically to Barack Obama's historic ascent to the US presidency. "ReVisions" is both a testament to Chapin's unique artistic sensibility and a tribute to the timeless appeal and relevance of Wonder's songs in music history. The album, which also includes two original songs by Jen Chapin, is now re-released by Evolution Music in an excellent One Step reissue from the original masters, cut at 33 rpm and pressed on 180g high-quality vinyl, which also includes new liner notes and a recent interview with Jen Chapin.
