Vittorio Ghielmi, one of today's most admired viola da gamba soloists, comes from a family of musicians (his brother founded Il Giardino Armonico with Giovanni Antonini). In parallel with his erudite and virtuoso readings of Marais or Graun, Vittorio Ghielmi is an artist who enjoys crossing borders. With his ensemble, Il Suonar Parlante, he seeks new musical languages and collaborates with leading figures of jazz (Uri Caine) and the masters of traditional music (Khaled Arman, Dhruba Ghosh). With Gypsy Baroque, he and his gypsy friends present a dazzling album bubbling over with life. He has gone to Transylvania in search of the gypsy music of the eighteenth century that was played on the frontiers of the Ottoman and Austrian Empires - music that influenced composers like Mozart and Haydn for their famous 'Janissary' pieces. For this recording, he places these gypsy tunes (only the melody is written) in perspective with orchestrations of the period. The Baroque specialists of his ensemble are joined by longstanding guest artists (the soprano Graciela Gibelli and the recorder player Dorothee Oberlinger) and traditional musicians like the Slovak violinist Stanislav Palúch and Marcel Comendant, a virtuoso exponent of the cimbalom and of improvisation. Going beyond the 'documentary' aspect, already fascinating, here is a genuine musical recreation!

Great addition to our home
Model: Model B with Removable Tray
Putting together took a little time but instructions included were easy for me to follow. Putting the screws in for the shelves required a little work to get then started but nothing that I would say would be a problem to do. It is very sturdy and looks great in our room we are transforming into a hangout/bar area. I can't wait to get all my accessories in to add to it and display all my nice bottles I have. Great cart for the price.

My Cart Worked Out Perfectly For Me - Update: I got a second cart

Delivered sooner than promised. All pieces were present. All parts were in good condition. Assembly was done by a professional who thought the product was well done and needed very few adjustments. The cart rolls smoothly, is very sturdy, is a great size, looks attractive and is perfect for my needs. I would order one of these again.
Update: I did get a second cart and I am just as happy with this second one as I have been with the first one.

Looks expensive. Wheels could be better.

This got RAVE reviews when I wheeled it into a neighbor’s Thanksgiving celebration. The guests thought it was WAY more expensive than I paid. That said, the wheels aren’t all that great; the cart got stuck going into and out of the elevator. I had to lift the cart to get it over the track. But overall, I really like it. One caution. Read the instructions carefully so that the wine racks fit. I didn’t assemble it correctly, and it became apparent when the wine racks would not fit. But I was able to quickly disassemble the necessary sections, and reassemble them quickly.
