Living memory, future worlds: Bristol voices on climate changeThis is the story of how some Bristol women got scared thinking about climate change, and what we did as a result. In all our neighbourhoods, we have a valuable resource: citizens who know how you can live with lower carbon emissions because theyve already done it. As older women, we know from our own experience that a lower energy future neednt all be depressing. Weve experienced losses as well as gains as technology has advanced. In some ways, life

This is the story of how some Bristol women got scared thinking about climate change, and what we did as a result. In all our neighbourhoods, we have a valuable resource: citizens who know how you can live with lower carbon emissions Ð because theyÕve already done it.

As older women, we know from our own experience that a lower-energy future neednÕt all be depressing. WeÕve experienced losses as well as gains as technology has advanced. In some ways, life might actually improve. Communities could become stronger and more supportive again, for instance.

The Bristol people we have interviewed for this pamphlet and the exhibition that accompanied it can all remember less energy-extravagant times. Many of their memories are happy. We think the interviews hold clues to a better future.

Full of important and interesting details.
1st, it is full of details, graphs, maps that add to understanding. 2nd, there's enough space in the margins for fine tip notes to help with study. 3rd, so far the pages have not fallen out and that shows a well assembled book. 4th, an excellent value...I really think that it is worth so much more! 5th, as such, I highly recommend this edition of the ESV Bible, for those who left the flock.

Big Yet Mighty!
Format: Imitation Leather
I bought this one to give to a friend who is finally turning to Jesus! I already had a MacArthur ESV study Bible as it was recommended to me by my pastor. This Bible has in-depth introductions to every chapter and a many pages there’s more commentary than there is text of the Bible. This is a great tool to help you study the word of God and to give you better understanding it might not be the Bible you want to carry to church on Sunday because it is large and heavy.

Amazing detail and story
Format: Hardcover
We visited Chartwell in June 2023. I sure wish I had read this book prior to that visit. I was still able to scroll through my photographs and compare them with the book photos or comments. All in all the book is excellent. It manages to complete the story of Churchill in Exile and give the reader a glimpse of all the work he accomplished leading up to WWII. It also begs the question if given a leadership role earlier Churchill could have prevented the war in the first place. As someone who lost his uncle over France in 1943 that would have been nice. I highly recommend this book. A great man.
