This eye-catching Necklace showcases a Sonora Sunset and Sterling Silver Pendant by Nevada Silversmith Jim Daggett. Sonora Sunset was discovered in the Millpillas Copper Mine in Sonora, Mexico after the mine opened in 2006. The stone was mined in very limited quantities and is rare on the market today. It exhibits an unusual color combination of red, green and black, the result of Cuprite, Chrysocolla and Iron all being present in the stone. Our Sonora Sunset gemstone displays primarily brick red and seafoam green, with a swoosh of black across the lower expanse of the cabochon. It is shaped like an elongated Trapezium (similar to a Triangle with the top truncated) and wrapped in raised Sterling Silver Bezel. It is soldered to Sterling Silver Plate cut to mirror the stone and adorned with 3 Sterling Silver Scrolls and 11 Sterling Balls. the Pendant drapes from a notched, V-Shaped Sterling Silver Bail, and is stamped on the back with the artist's hallmark and "Sterling."

 We've paired the Pendant with 7 strands of brick red Antique Pote Beads, over 100 years old. The Pote Beads are in beautiful condition and have a silken sheen. They are adorned with 6mm Aventurine and Green Rutilated Quartz Rounds; the Quartz is translucent, shining in reflected light. These gemstones are complimented by 6 different styles of Czech Glass, including:

• 4mm dark peridot & aqua Picasso Rondelles
• 5mm sparkling seafoam smoke Rondelles

At the top of the Necklace the 7 strands of Pote Beads are gathered with Sterling Silver Cones, streamlining the silhouette and ensuring a comfortable fit. The Necklace is finished with a Sterling Silver Toggle Clasp and adorned with a Southwest Designs Sterling Charm. The piece weighs 78 grams and is 19-1/2 inches long plus the Pendant, which is 2-3/8 inches by 1-5/8 inches including the 1/2-inch Bail.
