Sommor Records present the first legitimate reissue one of the rarest private blues-rock albums from the UK, Levee Camp Moan's self-titled release, originally released in 1969. In 1969, Bracknell-based blues rock outfit Levee Camp Moan released what was destined to become one of the most sought-after UK private pressings of the period on the County Recording Services label. This LP marked their status as one of the most exciting bands to emerge out of the thriving local underground scene in the Bracknell Delta. The group had taken their name from the old blues number and the band members, manager and assorted roadies took up residence in a local farmhouse known as Peacock Farm. It was there that LCM would rehearse into the small hours, thumping out a mixture of blues standards as well as their own compositions until they had become a tight unit ready to "take on the world". Influences ranged from the urban blues of Otis Rush, Buddy Guy, and Junior Wells to Muddy Waters, Skip James, and beyond. The more or less contemporary white blues of the time, Canned Heat, Savoy Brown, and Paul Butterfield also served as a major source of inspiration. From their humble roots LCM quickly built up a following on the British Blues circuit, frequenting the likes of the Marquee, Crawdaddy, Klooks Kleek, Eel Pie Island, and Rikki Tik club. On the college circuit they toured extensively with Chickenshack, Canned Heat, and Muddy Waters with performances being of a high enough standard to generate record company interest. Unable to secure a record deal, they had no other choice but to do it themselves. And so, in the winter months of early '69 that LCM entered Virgin Sound in nearby Windsor to lay down eight tracks recorded on a four-track machine. With no record company interference, the archetypal private pressing, raw, under-produced, and thrillingly primitive. The project successfully captured the spirit and aggression of an exciting new band and the original artefact is now a zeitgeist of that remarkable era. After Levee Camp Moan, Ian Campbell went on to carve out a busy musical career performing with, amongst many others, the Nashville Teens, Arthur Brown's band and Mungo Jerry. Bassist Dave Stubbs played with a host of notables, including Eric Clapton's band and Uli Jon Roth (ex-Scorpions). Original artwork. Includes insert with rare photos and full band history by Pete Sarfas.

Great product before they dry up
Great smelling product, that performs and protects and a high level. It left my car looking and smelling good with its unique scent and formula. I usually keep these inside my glove box since they’re so compact I can easily get the container and wipe when needed. The wipes retain its moisture fairly decently. I find that if I don’t use all of the wipes within a 2-3 month time frame, they will dry up and be no good. As long as you use them up before that it’s a nice buy for your vehicle.

Smells good and conditions dash well
Dust is sticking to my dash more but that’s to be expected I think. My kid also starting trying to clean the back windows with them and they streaked them up, so not for windows. Seals tight, seems like they will last a while.

Love that scent
I have been using Maguiar’s products for decades. I purchased these wipes shortly after I used one of their spray on detailing products in my garage. In that setting, the detail spray scent was addictive…almost like a tropical suntan lotion. Normally, I am not much on scents that can be overwhelming…like plug in house products or those things sit in your vehicle vents… they tend to be too strong and/or too pervasive. But in a garage, and diluted with the surrounding air…that detailing product scent was luscious, just enough, not too much. That scent prompted me to search online for “Maguiar’s wax scent” and I found some user forums discussing this topic. Lots of people think similar things and compare various other products. I learned that Maguiar’s recognized the marketing importance of scent in their products a while back, but I had never really noticed it, although it has always been my go to product line for wax and detailing products. This encouraged me to order some of these wipes for cleaning interior surfaces.
I was not disappointed! The new car scent is just enough “new plastic” mixed with some sweetness of those other signature tropical notes to add a nice touch to the cleaning activity, while being just lightly persistent enough to make you notice that scent when you get into a freshly cleaned vehicle. I would not want that same scent to be too strong or persistent, and it is not. Additionally, as a cleaning product, it works very well. The dashboard plastics end up more matte than glossy with application, something else I appreciate. I am not a fan of super shiny or glossy.
Thanks for a great product Maguiars!

Not a clean wipe but smells good
Leaves behind a thick residue and makes a weird texture/coat on your interior
