The ALTA PRO 2+ 263CT is a lightweight CARBON FIBRE tripod with an intuitive MULTI-ANGLE CENTRAL COLUMN. Weighing just 1.6kg and with a maximum load capacity of up to 7 kg it provides the stability, durability and reliability you want as well as the precision you need in your kit. The tripod offers a generous height of 162cm (excluding head) and 4 leg angles (20°, 40°, 60° or 80°) that allows setup in any conditions. The ALTA PRO 2+ tripod can be deployed in seconds thanks to it’s innovative Advanced Twist-Lock system that needs just a 35° turn to lock/unlock, along with the ability to check each section is locked with a simple glance. The multi-angle central column allows you to position the camera in almost any position with ease, making it perfect for unusual angles or macro photography. From panorama, to portrait, to macro photography, the ALTA PRO 2+ 263CT will make your photography experience a breeze

 

Multi-Angle Central Column

The Multi-Angle Central Column can be moved to almost any position (+/- 90° with 360° panning) making it perfect for macro and landscape photography, or anything in between.

The new features in the Alta Pro 2+ also mean that this is an intuitive process and fast process. Simply unscrew three central columns locking knobs, adjust to almost any position, re-lock.

Model shown is the Alta Pro 2+ 263AB 100 which includes the Alta BH-100 Ball Head.

Innovative Twist Locks

All models have innovative leg locks that are designed for any photographer - whether you're a fan of flip locks or pan locks.

For speed, the locks only need to be turned 35° (not even a 1/4 turn) and stop turning when you've gone far enough (so no more unscrewing the leg in error).

They also include visual lock/unlock image so you can see at a glance whether the leg is locked.

Four Leg Angles

All models feature four separate leg angles (20°, 40°, 60° or 80°) which allow you to get down low or to set the legs so the tripod is stable in the most uneven terrain

The leg angles are controlled by twin clips on either side of the top of each leg. These can be operated together, or separately. This makes it easy to set for both left or right handed photographers.

Well designed and sturdy. Though not real wood I think they will last. It took me an hour to install the first shelf. That was all on me. I was slow measuring and placing the shelf bracket. I kept dropping the level and doing other crazy things. But the second and third shelves were easy after I learned what I was doing. Even though the screws, etc were provided I used Easy Anchor drywall anchors rated at 50 pounds. Just drill it in the sheet rock then screw the screw through the hole in the bracket until it clicks, (you have to listen). That means the ends of the plastic anchor flips out like a toggle bolt. Continue tightening the screw and that is it. Think I read somewhere that the board wobbles. These were tight as could be and no wobble. I did learn to only "tighten" just one end of the bracket sort of snug and let it hang. Then raise it to level and mark the other holes with a pencil. Don't put the other screws in until you are sure you can see the plastic anchors' holes though the bracket. Then place and tighten all the screws. The only negative I saw was that they could have sent the same or similar anchors that I have. But they didn't call me. Guess they didn't have my number.
