Our single-fin model, the Daily Tripper, is a fun board that allows those who want to experience a single-fin ride to do so in the best way possible.
While a single fin might seem a little unwieldy initially, it's all about finding the sweet spot and understanding how to generate speed. When it comes to power turns, there is no board that you can push harder than a single fin, but you need to have weight over the fin and be riding in the part of the wave that has power behind it. A single fin does not grovel, so the board needs waves with some push-back to perform optimally. The rocker has been cleaned up on this iteration, and a little extra was added to the tail to provide some lift. The double concave through the fin area and the slight single concave at the centre of the board help the water flow optimally and assist in those high-line speed runs. The Daily Tripper will enjoy point-break surf with a bit of size and grunt behind it.
Outline:A rounded nose and a rounded pin tail combine to make this board a perfectly sleek egg to slide through some perfection.
Rocker:A long flat section through the middle of the board for speed and glide combined with a little bit of extra kick in the nose for hollow waves and a soft tail lift to make the Daily Tripper highly versatile and maneuverable
Bottom Contours:A double concave through the fin area connects to the slight single concave at the center of the board to maintain the water flow throughout the bottom half.
Tail:The rounded pin is a popular tail design, allowing for sharp turns when needed and always holding when the waves get a bit hollow. It also likes power surfing and responds well to applied pressure over the fin area when grinding through solid turns
