In this small group workshop, you will learn all about working with resin and different techniques for creating your own resin cheeseboard. Its all about having fun.

The workshop is by a beginners workshop creating your own resin cheeseboard/charcuterie board. All participants must be over 18 years of age.(Resin is a chemical and not suitable for younger than 18 years, and also not suitable for anyone who is pregnant, or has a lung condition). You will learn all the correct safety requirements for working with resin, and will be guided through all preparations required to work with resin.

 

This workshop is very hands on and designed for all participants to learn how to prepare your work area, surface and safety, you will learn basic resin techniques, you will choose the colours you want to work with. We will show you different techniques to achieve different results...with the end goal for you to create your very own cheeseboard.

At the end of the workshop your piece will need to cure flat for 24 hours and it will be collected the following day or at a mutually agreed time.

All materials, equipment and safety products (including PPE) for this workshop will be provided (along with some light refreshments), you just need to bring your creative self, wear some clothes you don't mind getting resin on (it cannot be removed from clothing), and be ready to have some fun.

Cancellation and Refund policy
3 days notice is required for cancellation or transfer to alternative date (this will hopefully give us time to fill your place). We understand that things can come up last minute, however there is a 50% cancellation fee (to cover costs of materials) for any cancellations within 72 hours of a workshop - or the alternative is to transfer the dates to the next available workshop. We will always do our best to accommodate.

Workshops run at TLC Espresso Cafe  (Upstairs) 92B Maroondah Hwy Ringwood. (public parking at rear of the building).

A great read for those who want in depth knowledge about MS Active Directory & related services
Format: Paperback
Reviewer: 20 yrs training and consulting experience with Windows Server, Exchange Server, Active Directory, all major hypervisors, and cloud services. Active Directory along with all the related services and features are complex and many faceted topics. Books showing step by step examples are easy to come by, although not very useful since there’s plenty of Microsoft online help with the same info. What’s more important is to understand the features and related services and how to use them properly and securely. This book covers in great detail Active Directory and the related services and features. There’s also plenty of information and expertise from a security perspective. With the move to cloud services and more employees are working from home there’s a whole new level of security issues to contend with. This book contains lots of in-depth explanations that allow you to understand why certain features and services exist and how to use them. This extra depth and the author’s experience is what makes this book special. I would recommend this book for IT Professionals that already have some AD knowledge and experience. My only qualification is that I occasionally found some of the explanations confusing even after reading them over a several times. I would highly recommend this book for those who wish to understand, configure and design an AD infrastructure along with associated services including OU design, group policy, object management delegation, ADFS, Certificate Services, etc. Although the book is not about Azure AD it does cover some aspects including integrating with on-prem AD.

Detailed coverage of Active Directory
Format: Kindle
I spent several years very close to active directory but haven’t followed developments in recent years. I was interested in this book as a refresher on what’s new in the last 8-10 years – and it did not disappoint. The chapter on Advanced AD Management with PowerShell does a great job providing some background, setting the stage for why we’d want to know this, and providing some brief descriptions of various cmdlets that might be needed. My last experience with PowerShell/Active Directory required the Quest module, so seeing these native cmdlets is a nice change. The chapter on AD FS is very detailed, providing a history of the functionality, deployment topologies and considerations, as well as details on configuring the required components. This is a topic I was not familiar with before seeing this book, and it did a good job bringing me up to speed on the feature. I have not made it all the way through this book, but the sections I have completed are very good. If you are looking for a thorough reference guide on the current state of Active Directory, you should check out this book.

If you purchased an earlier release of this book and was wondering if this one is worth getting, the answer is yes!! The biggest change is this edition thoroughly covers the latest and greatest, Windows Server 2022. It walks through security issues, the differences between this and previous versions of Windows Server and how to design and deploy a functional and secure Server 2022 Active Directory. I enjoyed reading through this book and highly recommend it!
