Experience a new standard in intelligent surveillance with the Sony SRGA12, an 8.5‑megapixel, 4K network camera that blends razor‑sharp imaging with advanced AI analytics and PTZ Auto Framing. Designed for busy environments like retail spaces, corporate campuses, and commercial facilities, this camera delivers cinematic level framing and proactive security without the need for constant human control. It’s built to blend into any setting while delivering powerful performance, intuitive operation, and reliable network integration. The SRGA12 leverages Sony’s expertise in imaging technology to produce incredibly clear detail, accurate color reproduction, and smooth 4K video that stands up to the most demanding monitoring requirements. Whether you’re monitoring a storefront, a lobby, or a large office floor, this camera helps you capture decisive moments with precision, speed, and confidence.

  • AI‑driven PTZ Auto Framing for hands‑free video composition. Built‑in AI analytics analyze scene dynamics and automatically adjust pan, tilt, and zoom to create well‑composed footage. This means subjects stay centered, action remains in frame, and you get consistently professional video without an operator touching the controls.
  • Stunning 8.5 MP 4K image quality for crisp detail. Capture high‑resolution video at ultra‑clear 4K (3840x2160) so you never miss important facial features, license plates, or small text. The camera’s optics and sensor work together to preserve realistic color and contrast in a wide range of lighting conditions.
  • Built‑in analytics that power proactive security. The SRGA12 includes intelligent analytics capable of detecting people, objects, motion, and other events. Alerts can be sent instantly to your security team or integrated into your VMS/NVR for rapid incident response, reducing response times and improving overall situational awareness.
  • Seamless network integration with flexible installation options. Designed for modern IP surveillance, this camera supports standard network infrastructure and can be deployed across wired Ethernet networks. Its compact, understated form factor makes it ideal for ceilings, walls, or discreet placements in retail spaces and offices, while providing reliable performance over long cable runs.
  • Durable build with practical deployment features. The SRGA12 is engineered to withstand real‑world use with a robust chassis and streamlined setup. Frequently asked questions

  • What is PTZ Auto Framing? PTZ Auto Framing is an AI‑driven technology that automatically analyzes the scene to keep subjects centered and the action within the frame. It reduces the need for manual camera control while delivering consistently composed video, especially in dynamic environments.
  • Does the SRGA12 support 4K resolution? Yes. It captures and streams video in 4K Ultra HD (3840x2160), providing enhanced detail for identification and analysis.
  • Can this camera operate without a dedicated operator? The camera is designed to minimize manual operation through AI analytics and Auto Framing, making it suitable for unstaffed surveillance setups while still offering manual controls when needed.
  • Is PoE supported? Yes. Power over Ethernet simplifies installation by delivering power and data over a single cable, reducing clutter and the number of required power sources on site.
  • How do I integrate the SRGA12 with a VMS or NVR? The camera is built to work with common IP surveillance ecosystems. You can add it to your existing VMS/NVR using standard ONVIF profiles or vendor‑specific integration options, configure notifications, and map its streams to your recording and playback workflows.

A great read for those who want in depth knowledge about MS Active Directory & related services
Format: Paperback
Reviewer: 20 yrs training and consulting experience with Windows Server, Exchange Server, Active Directory, all major hypervisors, and cloud services. Active Directory along with all the related services and features are complex and many faceted topics. Books showing step by step examples are easy to come by, although not very useful since there’s plenty of Microsoft online help with the same info. What’s more important is to understand the features and related services and how to use them properly and securely. This book covers in great detail Active Directory and the related services and features. There’s also plenty of information and expertise from a security perspective. With the move to cloud services and more employees are working from home there’s a whole new level of security issues to contend with. This book contains lots of in-depth explanations that allow you to understand why certain features and services exist and how to use them. This extra depth and the author’s experience is what makes this book special. I would recommend this book for IT Professionals that already have some AD knowledge and experience. My only qualification is that I occasionally found some of the explanations confusing even after reading them over a several times. I would highly recommend this book for those who wish to understand, configure and design an AD infrastructure along with associated services including OU design, group policy, object management delegation, ADFS, Certificate Services, etc. Although the book is not about Azure AD it does cover some aspects including integrating with on-prem AD.

Detailed coverage of Active Directory
Format: Kindle
I spent several years very close to active directory but haven’t followed developments in recent years. I was interested in this book as a refresher on what’s new in the last 8-10 years – and it did not disappoint. The chapter on Advanced AD Management with PowerShell does a great job providing some background, setting the stage for why we’d want to know this, and providing some brief descriptions of various cmdlets that might be needed. My last experience with PowerShell/Active Directory required the Quest module, so seeing these native cmdlets is a nice change. The chapter on AD FS is very detailed, providing a history of the functionality, deployment topologies and considerations, as well as details on configuring the required components. This is a topic I was not familiar with before seeing this book, and it did a good job bringing me up to speed on the feature. I have not made it all the way through this book, but the sections I have completed are very good. If you are looking for a thorough reference guide on the current state of Active Directory, you should check out this book.
