The Jetstream HB from Reverend Guitars delivers workhorse features and a powerful sound, rendered endlessly versatile by onboard tools for tone tweaking. It all starts with a premium body shaped from korina for comfort, performance, and retro charm. Korina tonewood delivers full-bodied tone with an overall light weight that’s perfect for demanding gigs. Its mahogany-like sound also yields a slight midrange punch, enhancing the Jetstream HB’s visceral sound. Next, Reverend adds a roasted maple neck, heat treated to remove water and sugars for top-notch stability. Two custom HA5 humbuckers showcase some of Reverend’s finest electronics, which are crafted in-house and fine-tuned for vintage warmth with additional power. Players find HA5 pickups bring a rich presence to rhythm playing as well as technical leads. And with treble and bass tone controls onboard, tonal precision has never been easier! To seal the deal, a Vari-Claw tremolo, locking tuners, a treble bleed circuit, and a Pure Tone jack supply top-notch reliability and performance you don’t want to miss. The formidable Jetstream HB is here to stay.

Refined HA5 pickups

The Jetstream HB packs two of Reverend’s quintessential humbucker — the HA5. HA5 pickups teem with PAF-style clarity and presence, while Alnico V magnets and extra windings dole out dynamic output and range worthy of modern demands. Chunky rhythms, articulate picking, technical leads, and even killer slide tones — you’ll find these humbuckers do it all and do it well. And, like all Reverend electric guitars, onboard tone and Bass Contour controls extend your pickups’ range to the outer limits.

Combat muddy bass with Bass Contour

Guitarists often wonder why more guitars don't offer a bass roll-off control like the Jetstream HB’s Bass Contour knob. Traditional electric guitar tone knobs address high frequencies while leaving low-end non-adjustable without the addition of outboard gear. Bass Contour changes that. Dial it back just a bit to tighten up your rhythm tones, or roll it back further to emphasize attack and presence. Or use it in conjunction with the tone control for mid-focused tones you normally couldn't achieve without an EQ or filter pedal. What's more, even the Jetstream’s treble control is more flexible than a standard one thanks to a treble bleed circuit that retains high frequencies, even at lower volumes.

Quality craftsmanship — no upgrades necessary

The Jetstream HB’s korina body is an ideal choice because of its lighter weight, consistency, and renowned tonal qualities. Reverend’s beautiful bolt-on roasted maple neck complements every finish and adds to the charming aesthetic of the guitar. Additionally, onboard pin-lock tuners and a Boneite nut ensure impeccable intonation and fewer tuning breaks. Internally, ±10% poly caps and control pots deliver boutique tone and performance, while a dual-action truss rod ensures a full range of adjustability should the need arise. Finally, each Jetstream HB is numbered and initialed by a Reverend technician, adding a final personal touch to your beautifully crafted guitar.

Not worth the paper it’s printed on.
Format: Paperback
I can’t say that I was expecting such a slim volume on 10,000 years of Chinese culture to be a work of rigorous scholarship, but I also wasn’t expecting it to be quite *this* dreadful. It is badly written to the point of being unreadable, and it is clear that no one thought to edit the document before publication. I made it about twenty pages in before I had to put it down. The entire thing reads like an Anthropology 101 term paper written by a first semester college freshman who hasn’t quite figured out how to back up claims with evidence yet.

It all makes sense now
Format: Kindle
This book covers Ancient Chinese History, Starting from the Settlement at the Yellow River through the Xia, Shang, Zhou, and Qin Dynasties to the Han Dynasty. This should ring a bell for some folks as this is the period around the Yellow River shows the early development of man in this region. Ancient Chinese history is a tapestry of remarkable achievements, cultural developments, and political transitions that unfolded over thousands of years. It all began with the settlement at the Yellow River, where early agricultural communities emerged around 5000 BCE. This period witnessed the gradual transition from a hunter-gatherer lifestyle to settled farming communities, marking the foundation of Chinese civilization. From this fertile ground, the Xia Dynasty rose in the 21st century BCE, establishing the first recorded dynasty in Chinese history. Although little written evidence remains, the Xia period laid the groundwork for future dynasties, fostering advancements in agriculture, irrigation systems, and early forms of government. The subsequent Shang Dynasty (16th–11th century BCE) witnessed great cultural achievements, including the development of a complex writing system and the creation of magnificent bronze artworks. It was during this era that the concept of the Mandate of Heaven emerged, which stated that rulers' legitimacy depended on their ability to govern effectively. Following the fall of the Shang Dynasty, the Zhou Dynasty (1046–256 BCE) emerged and introduced the feudal system, characterized by a decentralized government. This era saw the flourishing of philosophy, with notable thinkers like Confucius and Laozi influencing Chinese thought for centuries to come. The Qin Dynasty (221–206 BCE) unified China under the rule of Emperor Qin Shi Huang, bringing about remarkable political and administrative reforms. It standardized currency, measurements, and writing systems, and constructed the Great Wall of China. Although short-lived, the Qin Dynasty paved the way for the subsequent Han Dynasty. The Han Dynasty (206 BCE–220 CE) was a period of significant cultural and technological advancements. It expanded the empire's territorial reach, established the Silk Road, and embraced Confucianism as the official ideology. The Han Dynasty left a lasting legacy, shaping the Chinese state and society for centuries. Through these pivotal dynasties, Ancient Chinese history witnessed the development of a rich and enduring civilization, with contributions that continue to influence the world today.
