Та якщо ви знаєте, чому та чи інша держава обрала певний дизайн прапора, найімовірніше, ви маєте загальне уявлення про історію, географію та культуру цієї країни.Приміром, зірка на прапорі Демократичної Республіки Конґо нагадує нам про те, що Артур Конан Дойл назвав найбільшим злочином проти людства. Орел на прапорі Мексики — про те, як ацтеки принесли в жертву богам доньку вождя сусіднього племені. Зірки на прапорі Тувалу — про дивовижний казус у назві країни.Про автораЗізнаюся, я — не професіональний письменник і не науковець. Заждіть, не закривайте сторінку! Адже певний стосунок до написання текстів я маю. Колись працював журналістом, а зараз я — один із найпопулярніших блоґерів в Україні.За діяльністю я — серійний підприємець. Також недавно працював певний час міністром в українському Кабміні.Захоплення прапорами в мене з'явилося ще в дитинстві, коли тривав чемпіонат світу з футболу 1994 року. Тоді я відпочивав із дідусем і бабусею в Криму, і ми щоночі переглядали прямі трансляції матчів у нашому невеликому готельному номері під горою Аю-Даг.Звідтоді в моєму житті чимало змінилося. Пристрасть до футболу трохи охолола, до Криму наша родина більше їздити не може через окупацію, але інша пристрасть, якої я набув під час того чемпіонату, залишилася зі мною на все життя — це прапори.Я й досі не можу пояснити, чому в мене викликали такі теплі почуття кольорові прямокутники в кутку екрана поряд із рахунком матчу. Адже тоді я не знав, що за кожним із них криється цілий світ, що наука про прапори має назву 'вексилологія'.Одначе про щось я почав здогадуватися вже тоді. У першому матчі між США і Швейцарією я зауважив, що прапор останньої не прямокутний, як в інших, а квадратний (збірна Ватикану в тому чемпіонаті участі чомусь не брала). А в другому матчі між Італією та Ірландією я дивувався схожості їхніх стягів.Свою пристрасть я втілював у життя поступово. Спершу вона виявлялася в тому, що я зберігав у нотатках усілякі цікаві факти про прапори, що траплялися мені на очі. Потім я почав періодично робити пости про прапори у своїх соціальних мережах (на подив своїх 400 000 фоловерів, які підписувалися на мене явно не через це). Потім я створив окремий Telegram-канал 'Прапори з Дмитром Дубілетом'.Ідея написати книгу про прапори в мене з'явилася кілька років тому. Пам'ятаю, як я здивувався, що книги на цю тему представлені лише або довідниками, або виданнями для дітей. Я мав переконання, що таке потрібно виправити, але через брак часу я щоразу це відкладав.І от, нарешті, настала зручна нагода втілити свій задум. З одного боку, наш Кабмін саме відправили у відставку, з іншого — світ охопив коронавірусний локдаун. Quick and easy to apply, plus NO white cast on brown skin!

Admittedly, I don't normally wear sunscreen (maybe for a rare day at the beach, but certainly not on a daily basis). However, upon getting my first tattoo, I learned that the sun is a tattoo's mortal enemy, so I did a ton of research on sunscreens to find a good brand that would be effective in preventing the premature fading of my ink (gotta protect my investment, y'know?). Many people recommend mineral sunscreen instead of chemical for tattoos, and since I'm Black / brown / African American, my main concern was choosing a product that wouldn't leave a white cast. After reading the reviews of countless products, I finally settled on trying Thrive (the SPF 30 Face Sunscreen), and after two months of using this product, I can confidently say I hit the jackpot on the first try.
The consistency of this sunscreen is creamy (similar to that of a standard lotion), so it spreads very easily and is "absorbed" into/onto the skin within seconds. And the best part is, there is absolutely NO white cast -- I've attached photos of both my tattooed and non-tattooed forearms post-sunscreen application for reference. You can see that there a little shine on my tattoo (which I actually like), but otherwise no discoloration from the product. In hindsight I probably should have taken before-and-after photos for both arms, but just take my word for it: there's seriously no cast. Also, the product has a slight smell (kind of citrusy, like grapefruit), but it's not strong nor unpleasant and it doesn't linger. After being rubbed in, the product feels a little sticky as it dries, but it dries pretty quickly and then leaves the skin feeling smooth/normal.
The only semi-con I have is that after applying and reapplying multiple times in a single day (like 3+ times), I've noticed some slight white flakiness (I'm thinking this is just product build-up, since the minerals in this sunscreen sit on top of your skin as opposed to being fully absorbed). However, this is not really a big deal to me, as the flakes can be wiped away, but if it were really noticeable or if I knew I would need to continue reapplying that day, I could probably just wash my arm off real quick with some soap and water, then dry and reapply to resolve the problem.
As a final note, I'm not actually sure if this sunscreen is effective in providing sun protection. I don't get sunburnt, so I don't really have any way of knowing whether this product is fulfilling its intended purpose (I guess time will tell; for now I'll just keep an eye out for my ink fading). But assuming it is in fact working, I 100% recommend this product!

The best patches!

These work amazingly well! I just stick one on before bed and by morning the pimple is noticeably flatter and less red. It really does what it says without any picking or irritation.
They stay on all night even if I toss and turn, which I was surprised by, and they don’t feel uncomfortable at all while sleeping. I also like that they’re thin and kind of blend into the skin, so you don’t really notice them if you wear them during the day either. Super simple, effective, and way less stressful than dealing with breakouts the usual way. They fit well and the size is great, really absorbs all the yuck from a pimple. A great value for money!
