Rubber compound is tested to -40° F to assure good performance and long life at low temperatures. Kits include two Stainless steel clamps that are designed to be tightened without the use of special tools. Lithium based Molybdenum Grease insures good lubrication for long CV joint life. Not as tough as the salmon.
We have the salmon from the same manufacturer and it has endured as few other dog toys have. Unfortunately, the squirrel lasted only two days before developing a ripped seam and began loosing stuffing. Maybe a defective toy based on other reviews.

Pretty durable, ears not so much

Another one bites the dust!!
Another one bites the dust. It looked like it was gonna be strong enough for our new puppy. We adopted a border collie who is about six months old. This was supposed to be durable. Lasted about a week. Might be good for older dogs. I wouldn’t recommend.
