Victron Cerbo GX MK2 & GX Touch 50 Display Combo: Advanced System Monitoring and Control

Centralised Communication Hub for Victron Energy Systems

The Victron Cerbo GX MK2 serves as the intelligent core of your power system, providing seamless monitoring and control across all connected Victron devices. Paired with the GX Touch 50 display, this combo delivers a professional-grade interface that transforms how you interact with your off-grid, marine, or backup energy setup. Whether you're managing a remote solar installation or a complex vehicular system, the Cerbo GX MK2 ensures every component operates in harmony, maximising efficiency and reliability.

Designed for installers and system owners who demand precision, this communication centre consolidates data from solar chargers, inverters, batteries, and sensors into a single, intuitive platform. The result is a smarter, more responsive energy ecosystem that adapts to your needs in real time.

Why the Cerbo GX MK2 Outperforms Generic Monitoring Solutions

Unlike basic monitoring devices that offer limited connectivity and shallow data insights, the Cerbo GX MK2 is purpose-built for the Victron ecosystem. It solves the common problem of fragmented system oversight by unifying all components under one protocol. This reduces the risk of configuration errors, missed alerts, and inefficient energy use—issues that plague generic alternatives. With its dual-core processor and expanded communication ports, it handles larger, more demanding installations without lag, ensuring you never lose visibility or control.

For critical applications like marine navigation or off-grid living, where power failure is not an option, the Cerbo GX MK2 provides peace of mind through robust, isolated connections and remote access capabilities. It mitigates the risk of undetected battery drain or generator failure by enabling proactive management from anywhere.

Key Features

  • Centralised monitoring of all Victron components via VRM portal, GX Touch 50 display, or VictronConnect app

The display provides an instant overview of battery state of charge, solar harvest, power consumption, and more, allowing you to adjust settings like shore power limits or generator triggers with a simple tap.

The GX Touch 50 offers a compact 5-inch display, perfect for space-constrained setups without sacrificing functionality.

Remote Management and Real-Time Alerts

Stay connected to your system from anywhere via the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal. The Cerbo GX MK2 uploads data to the cloud, enabling you to monitor performance, receive instant alerts for faults or low battery, and perform diagnostic checks remotely. This capability is invaluable for off-grid properties, marine vessels, or backup systems where on-site visits are impractical. By catching issues early, you reduce downtime and prevent costly damage to batteries or equipment.

Versatile Applications Across Industries

The Cerbo GX MK2 and GX Touch 50 combo adapts to a wide range of scenarios, making it a cornerstone of modern energy management:

  • Marine and RV: Monitor tank levels, battery health, and solar input while integrating with NMEA 2000 networks for navigation data.
  • Off-Grid and Backup: Automate generator start/stop based on battery state of charge or quiet hours, and divert excess solar to self-consumption.
  • Energy Storage Systems: Keep backup batteries at optimal charge, kick in during grid outages, and maximise self-consumption to reduce energy bills.
  • Industrial and Remote: Oversee multiple solar chargers and inverters in large-scale installations with reliable, low-power operation (as low as 2.8 W).

Built for Professional Installers and DIY Enthusiasts

Installation is streamlined with options for DIN-rail mounting (using the separately available DIN35 adapter) or direct wall fixing. The Cerbo GX MK2's terminal blocks accept wires up to 2.5 mm², and the GX Touch 50 connects via a single USB-style cable, reducing wiring complexity. Bluetooth connectivity allows initial configuration through the VictronConnect app, speeding up commissioning. With an operating temperature range of -20 to +50 °C and IP20 rating, it is suited for protected indoor environments like electrical cabinets or control panels.

Favorite Slippers Of All Time
Size: 6.5-7.5, Color: Charcoal Faux Fur
ETA 7/2024: So I ended up buying a size 5-6. They fit better around the top and sides of my foot but the sole is a bit small. The 6.5-7.5 sole fits better but the material around the top and sides is roomy so it bunches up. Sigh. I still love these slippers but the fit is frustrating. I'm obsessed with these slipper boots! They are so cute and comfy. They look especially good with leggings but I also like that I can tuck other types of pajama pants into them. I'm short and have to fold the waist of most pajama pants so they're not super long on me, but with these boot slippers on I don't have to worry about my pant bottoms dragging on the floor since I can just tuck them in. I like that they have rubber soles. I love the look of the faux fur but not sure how easy they will be to wash because of it. I wear a 7 or 7.5 and I got the 6.5-7.5 size. Even with thick socks on they are roomy. Because they are house shoes it doesn't matter much but I probably could've sized down. I like the way they look so much I might buy a size down and use that pair for wearing outside of my house. Some other reviews said they have a strong smell but mine did not.

Cozy warm, overall a good slipper!
I ordered a size Medium and I normally wear a women's size 8 US / 39 EUR and they fit well. According to the box, a Medium in Acorn sizing is Women's 6.5 - 7.5, but I do think these run a little large which is why I went with the Medium vs. Large. The boot part fits well, not too snug or too loose, and it stays up if it has something to adhere to (like over pants), otherwise it would slide down my bare leg. I am super sensitive to scratchiness lol, so I keep the boot part over pants because it is a little scratchy to me. These slippers are nice and cozy, so they keep my feet / ankles warm. The footbed provides a nice cushion and the soles/suede guards are strong but without making you feel like you are wearing actual shoes / boots. I have noticed that the footbed does not have a lot of rebound so there are definitely impressions of my toes inside... which means no one else will want to wear them... haha! I've also noticed the seams seem prominent on the inside, I wish they were a less noticeable, but that is just one of my hangups. So, the only reason I am giving a 4 instead of 5 is the inside is not as soft as I'd like and the seam problem. Regardless, I wear these all the time at home (which is where most of us all are right now) and I am happy with them overall. Oh, and I got the Buffalo Check pattern and it's super cute and fun!

Soft, Warm and Cozy
I have no idea how these stay up, probably magic. I'm tall so it's challenging to find boot style slippers that are long enough. If support or thick soles aren't an issue, these are the best I've ever found! My ankles and calves have never BEEN so warm; these are my go-to's in the evening. They're easier to walk in with socks but, without, they're floppy and loose. I'd hesitate to size down because it's more the lack of structure in the foot, not length. They wash well (air dry); still soft, warm and cozy. Inserts could probably be added to help with support. I tried them because I found them at a fantastic sale price but I'm buying another pair now, for winter. I'm a slipper person and I definitely notice the quality of materials in Acorns, when I compare them with other slippers.

My year round footwear
Size: 6.5-7.5, Color: Sunset Cable Knit
I literally LIVE in these "slippers". Inside, summer, winter, outside when I can. I have hardwood floors, so even summertime, they protect my feet. They give me enough cush, but not like structured slippers that feel more like shoes. I go through about 2-3 a year, but well worth it.

Weird sizing
Size: 5-6, Color: Charcoal
Weird sizing/ fit! It says that they run large in length, so I got one group-size down (5-6). (The sizes are in ranges rather than specific individual shoe size numbers). I liked the concept of the suede reinforced toe & heel for longevity. My heel and toes cleared the length/width comfortably/well and the overall width was more than adequate, yet I found them to be rigid-stiff- tight (to the point of cutting off circulation) specifically in the toe. Ok, I knew that was a possibility BUT……while the toe area was tight the ankle and calf were HUGE and would not stay up unless I wore over pants, defeating the purpose of a slipper-sock. The inside cushioning was soft and comfortable. When I walked, my heel would slip out over the sued area, into the wool sock parentheses, making it awkward to walk. Returning…No point in changing sixes, as if I get a larger foot size, the tow may fit better, but the ankle will be beyond too big. Sigh. Unfortunate, as the concept is sound….the manufacturing/sizing is bizarre. BTW : I have normal width feet (not wide or narrow) and my ankles and calves are on the thinner side. The fit may be better suited to people with wider ankles/calves????
