The briefcase with handle design along with the slightly smaller than average size, makes this a very practical set if you travel and like to play backgammon on the move. Despite its very reasonable price, this set has a luxurious look and feel with its black leatherette handle and covering. The robust chrome effect closing/locking mechanism comprising two clasps keeps the cabinet closed when not in use and set against the black carbon effect leatherette of the case, these fixings just add to the luxurious aura.
Inside you will find the playing field has been created using leatherette as well, resulting in a quieter playing surface compared with a wooden surface. The main playing surface is a tan colour and expertly placed points in black and white beautifully complement this.
The playing stones are created from acrylic with a mother-of-pearl effect and these can be stored, when not in play, in the handy stones holders within the case. To complete this set, there are 4 dice, a doubling cube & lined dice cups.
