Twinings has been blending tea in England since 1706 and holds a Royal Warrant. Lady Grey is their own creation - developed exclusively by Twinings in the early 1990s and trademarked to the brand. It was designed for Earl Grey lovers who wanted something lighter and fruitier - black tea with real orange peel at 3% and lemon peel at 3%, alongside bergamot flavouring, which gives it a more overtly citrusy character than the classic Earl Grey. First sold in Norway in 1994 and launched in Britain in 1996. Blended and packed in Hampshire. Biodegradable teabags.

Light, refreshing, and brightly citrusy with zesty orange and lemon notes over a smooth black tea base. Less bergamot-forward than Earl Grey - the orange leads, the bergamot supports rather than dominates. The more approachable of the two for those who find classic Earl Grey too assertive. Best black or with a splash of milk. Particularly good iced in summer.

If you enjoy Twinings Lady Grey, our Scotch and Abram's Earl Grey is our take on the classic bergamot-forward version - smooth, refined, and aromatic.

How to brew the perfect cup
  1. Use freshly boiled water, not left to cool.
  2. Steep for 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Try it black - the orange and lemon come through cleanest without milk.
  4. Add a splash of milk if you prefer a softer, rounder cup.
How does it compare?

Twinings Earl Grey is the more assertively bergamot-forward version - Lady Grey is the lighter, fruitier alternative if standard Earl Grey feels too intense. Bewley's and Edinburgh Earl Grey are the closest cross-brand comparisons in terms of light, refreshing citrus character on a smooth black tea base.

Great product...wish you had color options
My dogs love these balls, but I wish you could choose the color. This is my dog's favorite toy. He can play tug of war with his siblings, and the ball usually lasts for quite awhile. Considering they are usually pretty destructive puppers, this is a minor miracle. But, I can't just pick his favorite color and get it delivered. I have to play roulette, and pray that his color is the one that I get when I open the box. If they can allow us to choose the color(s) that we want, then this review will be upgraded to 5 stars.

A silent toy that still holds a dog’s interest
We bought this large size for our Rottweiler- but it was our 45# dog who fell in love with it. Cooper is 16, has kidney disease, dementia and loss of muscle coordination; so, it was an absolute joy to watch him engage with this toy. His foot went through the ball once, but he figured it out. He pushes it with his nose, and tries to squeak it. He “talks” to it. We haven’t heard that in a long time. It’s light enough that he can lift it - and it rolls and bounces nicely. For him it’s perfect. Our Rottie seems to understand that it’s his toy. Now, that’s love and understanding.

A big hit!
Our Rottie loves these! I wanted something like the Jolly Ball but that is soft for inside the house. She's had a lot of fun with this, picking it up, tossing it, playing soccer, etc.

Perfect for Blind Dogs, Fun and Durable
Size: 2-pack, Style: Duo
My blind dog loves these Chuckit! sniff balls. She can easily sniff them out and plays fetch with them for 20 minutes a day, even running up and down the stairs. The balls are durable, bounce well, and the bacon and peanut butter scent keeps her engaged. I do wish Chuckit! would bring back the version with a tone so we could play fetch outside more easily. Overall, a fantastic toy for dogs that rely on scent and a fun way to keep them active.
