UC-II® plus glucosamine, chondroitin, cissus, and OptiMSM® support

Axe & Sledge Joint+ is an open-label joint support supplement that tackles joints two ways: building up the cartilage and connective tissue while dialing down the inflammation and immune stuff that makes them feel stiff and sore from constant training. A lot of joint supps go all in on one thing, like just raw materials or just herbs for quick relief, but miss the big picture. This one covers both, and everything's listed out—no hidden blends.

The main players are 1,000mg glucosamine sulfate 2KCl and 500mg chondroitin sulfate. Glucosamine sulfate is a go-to in joint health—it's the building block for stuff like glycosaminoglycans and proteoglycans that keep cartilage tough and bouncy. The sulfate version is key; it's the one backed by most studies, way better than the weaker hydrochloride kind. 1,000mg is a good amount, though a bit under the old-school 1,500mg used in arthritis trials. Adding 500mg chondroitin helps fill that in—it's a big part of cartilage that holds water, absorbs shocks, and keeps the joint structure solid.

You've got 500mg of OptiMSM®, the top branded MSM from Bergstrom Nutrition. MSM gives your body sulfur, which is huge for connective tissue like collagen links and proteins. It can ease joint aches and swelling, especially teamed up with glucosamine and chondroitin. The quality here is on point with OptiMSM® being super pure. The dose is solid, but it's below

A&S Joint+ by Axe & Sledge contains 118mg Chloride, a clinical dose for health and performance.

Key Highlights

  • 40mg UC-II® — that's the exact dose from studies on better joint movement and comfort. Unlike regular collagen supps, UC-II® trains your immune system in the gut to ease up on cartilage, making it stand out in joint products.
  • 1,000mg Glucosamine Sulfate 2KCl — the sulfate form has the best track record in joint studies, beating out glucosamine HCl. It's a strong base for supporting cartilage when you're pounding reps.
  • 500mg Chondroitin Sulfate — this is a key piece of cartilage that keeps water in and handles shocks in the joint. It rounds out formulas better than just glucosamine alone.
  • 500mg Cissus Quadrangularis Extract — a plant extract standardized to 2.5% 3-ketosteroids. It adds tendon support and comfort, perfect for heavy lifting or high-rep sessions.
  • 500mg OptiMSM® — premium MSM from Bergstrom Nutrition for clean sulfur delivery and teaming up on joint ease. Quality's top-notch, and it shines with glucosamine and chondroitin.
  • No proprietary blend — every ingredient and dose is right there. In a world of mystery joint mixes, this lets you check what's really in it.
  • Multi-pathway joint support — not just one trick. It hits cartilage building, sulfur supply, plant-based tissue help, and immune tweaks for joints all in one.
  • Capsule format with 30 full servings — no messy powders or extras. Easy to take every day, and consistency is what makes joint supps work.

A&S Joint+ by Axe & Sledge contains 118mg Chloride, a clinical dose for health and performance.

Who Is This For?

  • Seasoned lifters facing wear from presses, squats, rows, and reps. The glucosamine sulfate, chondroitin sulfate, and UC-II® mix aims for comfier joints and fluid moves without easing off training.
  • Runners and team-sport players pounding knees, ankles, hips weekly. Joint+ offers cartilage backup plus UC-II® immune perks, solid for constant lower-body hits.
  • BJJ, wrestling, combat folks with battered elbows, shoulders, fingers, knees from grips and twists. Cissus quadrangularis and OptiMSM® make it better than plain glucosamine for tissue-tough sports.
  • Over-35 adults training hard, staying ahead of aches. This is for steady use and long-game activity, fitting that no-frills training phase.
  • High-rep bodybuilders recovering muscles fine but joints lagging in cycles. Chondroitin, glucosamine sulfate, and UC-II® hit joint recovery protein and creatine skip.
  • Ex-athletes back to lifting after breaks, now stiff where they weren't young. Joint+ aids mobility and comfort rebuilding loads.

How to Use

Take 4 capsules as your daily hit. Most do best with a meal, since glucosamine sulfate, chondroitin, and MSM can tweak sensitive stomachs fasted. If you're new-supplement careful, start with 2 caps a few days, then go full. Workout timing's flexible—it's daily joint backup, so stick to routine over clock. Morning, lunch, or dinner works if consistent. Stacks well with fish oil, collagen, creatine, and protein-heavy diet for wider recovery. No cycling needed; breaks hurt the buildup of joint supps. Keep it cool, dry, lid tight. If stacking other joint stuff, watch for overlap.

What to Expect

Day one with Joint+ is chill—no energy spike or tingles. First few doses, check how your gut handles it; food helps for many. Days 1-7 build habits, maybe subtle less stiffness after workouts or looser mornings. Weeks 2-4, the mix of UC-II®, glucosamine sulfate, chondroitin, and MSM clicks—warm-ups less crunchy, back-to-back days easier on joints, movement smoother before pain drops. Long-term daily use seals it; these are build-up tools for steady mobility and handling repeat stress.

Key Ingredients

  • Glucosamine Sulfate 2KCl — 1000mg — Foundational cartilage support for long-term joint resilience
  • Chondroitin Sulfate — 500mg — Supports cartilage hydration and shock-absorbing joint function
  • Cissus Quadrangularis Extract — 500mg — Athletic connective tissue support for stressed joints

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Joint+ different from a basic glucosamine supplement?

Joint+ goes beyond a single-ingredient approach by combining 1,000mg glucosamine sulfate 2KCl with 500mg chondroitin sulfate, 500mg cissus quadrangularis extract, 500mg OptiMSM®, and 40mg UC-II®. That matters because joint support is not just about supplying cartilage substrate; UC-II® also works through oral tolerance and immune modulation, giving the formula a more complete mechanism than glucosamine alone.

Is 40mg UC-II® really enough to work?

Yes. UC-II® is one of the rare joint ingredients with a clinically established low-dose protocol at 40mg per day. It works differently from hydrolyzed collagen because the undenatured type II collagen structure remains intact and interacts with Peyer’s patches in the gut to influence immune tolerance toward joint cartilage.

How long does Joint+ take to work?

This is a cumulative formula, not an acute-feel product. Most users should think in terms of 2-4 weeks of consistent use before judging mobility, stiffness, and joint comfort, with continued improvements often building beyond that window.

Should I take Joint+ before or after training?

You can take it either way, because timing is less important than consistency. Most people do best taking the full 4-capsule serving with a meal at a time they can repeat daily.

Does Joint+ contain stimulants or caffeine?

No. Joint+ is completely stim-free and contains no caffeine. It is designed for joint and connective tissue support, so it can be used any time of day without affecting stimulant intake.

Is the MSM dose in Joint+ clinically dosed?

Joint+ includes 500mg OptiMSM®, which is a premium branded MSM raw material, but it is below the 1,000-3,000mg range commonly used in MSM-specific clinical research. In this formula, MSM is best viewed as a quality synergistic support ingredient rather than a stand-alone maximal MSM dose.

Can I stack Joint+ with collagen peptides?

Yes, and the stack makes sense because the two products work differently. Collagen peptides provide amino acid building blocks, while UC-II® in Joint+ works through oral tolerance, so the combination can create a broader joint-support strategy.

Is this product appropriate for runners and high-impact athletes?

Yes. The combination of glucosamine sulfate, chondroitin sulfate, cissus, and UC-II® is well suited to repetitive lower-body stress from running, field sports, and court sports, where knees, ankles, and hips absorb frequent impact.

Does Joint+ contain common allergens?

Yes, glucosamine sulfate is commonly shellfish-derived, so anyone with a shellfish allergy should avoid the product unless a healthcare professional says otherwise. UC-II® is also derived from chicken cartilage.

Do I need to cycle Joint+?

No. Joint support ingredients work best with uninterrupted daily use, especially UC-II®, glucosamine sulfate, and chondroitin sulfate. Cycling off usually works against the cumulative nature of the formula.

AMAZING Debut Hockey Romance!
T R O P E S 🏒 College Hockey/Figure Skating Romance 🏒 Cinnamon Roll MMC/Black Cat FMC 🏒 He Falls First 🏒 Friends to Friends With Benefits to Lovers 🏒 Found Family 🏒 Mental Health Rep R E V I E W I’m sorry. Excuse me. WHAT? How is this Peyton’s debut novel?! This book had NO BUSINESS being this good. IMMEDIATELY it is in the top 5 books I’ve read this year, and I’ve read nearly 125 books. I was blown away by how good this was and cannot recommend it enough. This book follows Sadie, a figure skater who has a hard home life but is determined to succeed this year, and Rhys, the captain of the hockey team who took a hard hit in last year’s Frozen Four and is now struggling with getting back on the ice. These two are some of the BEST MCs I’ve read in a while! Sadie has so much going on, between her skating career, working 3 jobs, trying to get custody of her two younger brothers from their alcoholic dad, and school in general, this girl is stretched thin, but she is a power house - small but mighty. I loved her spitfire character! She is so guarded, but understandably so. I loved seeing her icy exterior melt for Rhys. And RHYS. I think he might be my favorite Rhys to date 👀 . He is the perfect Cinnamon Roll, but he’s also going through PTSD from a terrible hit and struggling. He becomes so obsessed with her and honestly, I’m a little jealous. (Let’s not forget about the mouth on this man though 🥵 .) I LOVED them as a pair and the angst and tension between them was spectacular! I love how they pushed each other and how well they matched. The spice between them was perfection as well! This was such a good blend of character development, plot, and spice. I also have to discuss the amazing side characters. First of all, Sadie’s brothers are the stars of this show. Liam was the cutest thing on this planet and I just wanted to give Oliver a hug (but won’t because he doesn’t want to be touched). The way Rhys interacts with them and the whole storyline with them made me bawl. It was soooo good. Then we have Rhys’ family! His parents are magnificent and I need to know more about their story! And lastly, we cannot forget Rhys’ team. I cannot wait for more books about each and every one of them. They were all introduced so well and I KNOW there are going to be some fantastic stories told about them. I’m going to need this to be a series with all of the hockey teammates (Toren and Bennett both have me eyeing them up and I needed their books YESTERDAY). I’m also going to need a prequel novel about Rhys’ parents AND a next gen spinoff with Sadie’s younger brothers. This book is going to be a trophy I buy for my shelf so I can reread it and I will definitely be reading anything and everything Peyton writes in the future! The mental health rep in this book was chefs kiss. We saw them both struggling with their thoughts and emotions, saw them using each other for comfort, and saw them both getting true help. I loved that Rhys recognized he was using her as a crutch and sought therapy. We need more mental health rep that is done like this! Honestly, I cannot recommend this book enough. It had me laughing, blushing, and full on crying so many times. There was so much emotion, care, and love packed into this book. BRAVO Peyton on writing such a magnificent debut novel!

Love. Such a beautiful story!
Format: Kindle
Rhys and Sadie Gray meet at a point in their lives where they really need each other. Their initial impressions of each other are not that great and they start off on the wrong skates. These two are both struggling with their own issues and each carries their own stress differently. Rhys struggles with the aftermath of a traumatic injury while playing hockey. Sadie struggles with the weight of responsibility. Their story is not unique, but in this genre it's the first time I've read a story like this and it did not disappoint. It's such a beautiful story about love and staying steadfast in your conviction to stand by the person you love even when they don't think they deserve it and push back. The love Rhys has is unmatched and it reminded me of Johnny from Boys of Tommen. The author did an incredible job and I can't wait to read more from her.

Unsteady Review
Format: Kindle
This was my first book by the author and it did not disappoint. I loved how real and relatable the main characters were. From the mental health journeys they go on, and the things they deal with in their life. I felt like I could be their friend. I didn't want this book to end it was so good. It made me feel all the things: happy, sad, it made me laugh. And above all the representation of friendship in this was great! Will definitely read more of the author's books!

He falls fast & hard, but she’s trying to slip away..
Sadie Brown has herself so thin taking care of everything around her she’s on the verge of losing her college figure skating scholarship. She’s juggling being the parent figure to her two younger brothers (alcoholic father), working 2 jobs, figure skating, college classes, & trying to have somewhat of a social life. So to maintain her figure skating skill, Sadie skates early in the morning before anyone should be at the rink… Rhys Koteskiy, college hockey captain, and son of famous former NHL player Maximilian Koteskiy. Thinks he’s on top of the world in his growing career, until one day he takes a nasty hit that leaves emotionally unable to get back onto the ice without complete panic. When he decides to try and take control at the rink alone so others don’t find out about his anxious state, he runs into the angsty figure skater… Their paths keep connecting from the morning skates where they decide to share the ice from Sadie’s brothers participating in the youth hockey program Rhys helps out with. Sharing music playlists turns into sharing each others bodies for each others personal gain. But what happens when the guy falls first and the girl wants none of the emotional strings? Or when lawyers become involved with Sadie’s situation of her brothers? Buckle up because it’s about to become quite icy! 📚 College Hockey Romance 📚 Forced Proximity 📚 Single Parent / Sister 📚 Angsty!! 📚 Secret Friends With Benefits 📚 He falls first & HARD 📚 Dual POV This was my first read by Peyton Corrine & omgsh I loved it! Such an emotional read covering heavy topics of male anxiety / mental health & the Cinderella sister. A beautiful approach to such real everyday topics that don’t always get talked about. I can’t wait to read more of her work!!

Unsteady by Peyton Corinne
Format: Kindle
» The blue - Gracie Abrams « 0:00 ─〇───── 5:00 ↻ ◁ II ▷ ↺ · The way I feel about her is real, so deep it feels like a cord looped from inside me to her, tethering me to her. · This series is everything to me! The way Peyton Corinne incorporates mental health into all of her books is so special and important. The representation is always so good, and you can clearly tell that she puts a lot of effort and research into making things accurate. This book was so insanely addicting and fast-paced. It was a super quick and easy read, and I always thought about it when I wasn't actively reading it. Rhys Koteskiy, the man that you are. I'm going to be honest: at first, I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy this book because it was very much insta-love for him, but I think it was drawn out very well, and I also think it worked for his character development (iykyk). The way that he treated Sadie and showed her that constant reassurance that he was never leaving was so special. Not only was he a great love interest, but his healing from page 1 to 360 was incredible, and I think that if you're an athlete who has gone through injury and/or is struggling with an injury, the representation is HUGE. To be completely honest, I don't have much to say about her, but I absolutely loved Sadie, and I felt for her so much! This last note honestly doesn't have anything to do with the book or the author, but the comparison between Binding 13/Johnny and Shannon does a huge disservice to the book and creates a false expectation for the reader. All of this being said, I highly recommend this book and will certainly be reading all of Peyton's work!
