A tough nighttime recovery mix for serious shutdown sleep

Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals Somatomax is a heavy-hitting sleep and recovery powder for nights, focused on calming your nervous system hard, not some basic multi or light bedtime help. The label shows a wide vitamin and mineral lineup plus a clear 338mg mix with alpha-keto glutarate, bilberry extract, and black currant. But digging deeper, this stuff's famous for a bigger hidden sleep and recovery blend with brain-active stuff like phenibut and GABA, though doses aren't all out there. That's key because the real kick comes from those secret ingredients, way more than the listed nutrients.

On the open side, the B-vitamins back up energy use and nerve function. Thiamine at 5.8mg helps turn carbs into energy as part of the pyruvate dehydrogenase complex, basically fueling your ATP. It's a decent amount for basics, but under the 10-50mg you see in deeper supp talks. Niacinamide at 12mg turns into NAD+, a big player in cell energy, but it's not the 300-1500mg for stronger effects—here it's just solid daily support. Vitamin B6 at 6mg fits well for night use since it helps with amino acids and brain chemicals, smart for a sleep product.

The minerals are okay but mixed. Iodine at 78mcg aids thyroid hormones, teamed with selenium at 30mcg for standard thyroid help, though these are more for basics than big performance boosts. Phosphorus at 130mg backs ATP

Key Highlights

  • One heaping scoop gives you a 14g serving, based on product info. That's big because Somatomax is a full bedtime drink, not some tiny pill with weak ingredients.
  • It packs a wide micronutrient lineup. Vitamins A, C, E, K, a bunch of B-vits, plus zinc, selenium, iodine, and other minerals build a base for metabolism, fighting oxidation, and nerve work while you sleep.
  • 5.8mg thiamine helps convert carbs to energy via enzymes in the Krebs cycle. It's under the 10-50mg clinical range, but still adds to the energy support here.
  • 12mg niacinamide is a straight NAD+ builder without the flush from other forms. This dose is for basic nutrition, not heavy therapy, which fits the label right.
  • 6mg vitamin B6 stands out in a night formula. It deals with amino acids and making brain transmitters, so it's a good fit for sleep and brain vibes.
  • Iodine at 78mcg with selenium at 30mcg is a classic thyroid combo. These are everyday amounts, not huge hormone pushes, but it shows the mix covers more than just knocking you out.
  • 40mg magnesium is in there, but let's be real: it's the oxide form, which doesn't absorb great. Don't think this is a top-tier magnesium sleep setup like glycinate versions.
  • 338mg prop blend with alpha-keto glutarate, bilberry extract, and black currant brings energy and antioxidant help. No solo doses, so see it as extra backup, not the main driver.

Who Is This For?

  • Seasoned late-night lifters who end workouts wired and can't flip to sleep mode. Somatomax nails this with a clear calming punch, not weak wellness vibes.
  • Bodybuilders in grind phases where bad sleep tanks progress more than training does. If hunger, mood, soreness, and readiness crash from rough nights, this can beat another pre-workout.
  • Shift guys or stressed workers who can't unwind after brain-draining days. The brain-active core helps shift from buzzing to bed-ready.
  • Pro supp users who know light sleep stacks from heavy ones. This is for label readers who handle tolerance and want real feel, not background help.
  • Athletes bottled up by shallow sleep, not hours in bed. If you log time but wake trashed, strong nerve-downshift stuff might be it.
  • Folks wanting night supps with some nutrition mixed in. B-vits, iodine, selenium, zinc, and antioxidant plants aren't the star, but they back metabolism, thyroid, and stress fight.

How to Use

Go easy at first, especially if strong sleep supps are new to you. Mix one scoop in cold water 30-45 minutes before bed, only when you're set—no driving or focus stuff after. If you're careful or sensitive, try half to test the kick before full. Shaker's best for mixing powders like this, and cold water tastes better. Keep it from booze and don't stack with other downers unless your doc says cool. Eating can slow it a bit, so for steady feel, take on a lighter stomach, not after a huge meal. Don't add extra sleep aids to amp it up. Use this on purpose, not loose, and store cool and dry with lid tight.

What to Expect

First 0-10 minutes: mostly just the drink going down, no buzz since it's for night. 10-30 minutes: that's when you start feeling it—less head noise, more chill, building to sleepy if it suits you. 30-60 minutes: prime time to hit the sack, where it feels strongest for sliding into sleep. Overnight: aim is solid, unbroken rest instead of waking up or half-sleeping. Days 1-7: hits quick, so you'll tell fast if it's too much, just right, or off. Weeks 2-4: not a build-up like creatine; the win is steady good sleep leading to better recovery, mood, and gym readiness over time.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Hi-Tech Somatomax designed to do?

Somatomax is a nighttime sleep-and-recovery powder designed to help users transition from a wired, restless state into deeper sleep. Its identity in the market is based far more on its strong neuroactive sleep effects than on the basic vitamin and mineral panel printed on the label.

How big is a serving of Somatomax?

Available product research lists the serving size as 1 heaping scoop, totaling 14 grams, with 20 servings per container. That places it in the category of full powdered bedtime formulas rather than capsule-only sleep aids.

Does Somatomax have a fully transparent label?

No. The formula relies on proprietary-blend architecture, which means exact doses of key active ingredients are not fully disclosed. That limits the ability to compare every ingredient directly against clinical research ranges.

Is the magnesium in Somatomax a strong selling point?

Not really. The label shows 40mg magnesium as magnesium oxide, which is one of the least bioavailable forms for improving systemic magnesium status. If you are specifically shopping for high-quality magnesium support, this is not the standout feature of the formula.

What role do the B-vitamins play in this formula?

The B-vitamins provide foundational support for energy metabolism and nervous system function. Thiamine helps convert carbohydrates into ATP, niacinamide supports NAD+ formation, and vitamin B6 is especially relevant for amino acid and neurotransmitter metabolism.

When should I take Somatomax?

Use it 30-45 minutes before bed, when you are done driving, working, and doing anything that requires full alertness. It is best treated as the final step in your nighttime routine rather than something you sip casually.

Is Somatomax good for beginners?

No, this is not the best starting point for beginners. Because the product is known for a stronger subjective effect and uses proprietary blends, it is better suited to experienced users who understand how they respond to potent sleep formulas.

Can I stack Somatomax with melatonin or other sleep aids?

That is generally not a smart default strategy. Since Somatomax is already intended to be a heavy-hitting bedtime formula, stacking additional sedatives can create excessive next-day grogginess or an overly strong response.

What are the disclosed support ingredients besides the sleep complex?

The verified panel includes vitamins A, C, E, K, multiple B-vitamins, phosphorus, iodine, magnesium, zinc, selenium, copper, manganese, chromium, and molybdenum. It also lists a 338mg blend containing alpha-keto glutarate, bilberry extract, and black currant.

Who should avoid Somatomax?

Anyone under 18, pregnant or nursing women, people on CNS-active medications, and users with a history of dependence issues should avoid it unless medically cleared. It is also a poor fit for anyone who needs to remain easily awakened or fully responsive during the night.

Just buy it and you will love it
Color: Khaki
Amazing chair. It looks as expected. Perfect fit for my needs. It has great lumbar support and value of my money. There is no squealing noise and pretty strong and sturdy. I am 5 feet and 8 inches and fits for me. Very easy to setup. I love that they have given extra and back up screwes for every component. Easy setup for one person and very easy setup for two people. I was able to set this up under 20 minutes. Screws and instructions are on the box and inside the seat package. Overall good purchase and happy customer and will update after couple of months.

A step up, but still room for improvement
Color: Cream Khaki (Pu Leather Seat)
Yikes, the *shilling* on the reviews for this thing! Yes, it's a chair. There are a lot of mesh-backed office chairs for sale here. None of them are likely to change your life. I can say this chair is a step up in quality from the few others I've purchased online in the past. All hardware below the seat cushion is heavy steel; you won't be breaking this stuff in the near future--and it's a nice change from the almost-entirely-plastic offerings I see elsewhere. The provided hardware was packaged intelligently: it's all screws (and not too many of them) with various lengths, but they all have the same size hex-head and the package includes a nice matching T-bar to install them; moreover, if you follow the instructions it's basically "use the screws labelled Step 1 now" then "use the screws labelled Step 2 now"--hard to get wrong. The best part of the chair is the lumbar support. It's why I selected this particular variant, and it was a good choice: it's firm and adjustable and makes a difference. The back is comfortable, and the general motion of the chair (rocking, locking, up/down, swivel, roll) is exactly as you'd expect. I don't like arms on my chairs: when they're down I rest my elbows there but they're always too high so it bothers my shoulders eventually, and when they're up my elbows bump into them. So I usually remove the arms entirely during assembly--and in this chair that wasn't too hard, but it does leave some slightly unsightly connection points hanging free. That's not a mark against the chair itself--just letting you know; at worst I could point out that this chair's arm movement is maybe a little more limited than usual. The worst thing about this chair, though, is the cushion. I got the leatherette seat, because it's supposed to be comfortable and easy to clean. In practice it's *not* comfortable at all: it's soft enough, sure, but it's also *very* hot and makes me squirm repeatedly to try to improve my comfort the longer I sit here. I suggest getting the mesh-bottom version, if you're going to get this model.

Ergonomic Desk Chair
Color: Nori Black (Pu Leather Seat), Color: Nori Black (Pu Leather Seat)
I am delighted with this chair. First of all, assembly was super easy, thanks to the instructions included in the box. The faux leather design combined with the mesh backrest gives it an elegant look while ensuring comfort. I love its size, it is substantial enough to feel supportive, yet not so bulky that it takes up too much space; this allows it to fit perfectly under my desk and helps me save room. The lumbar support makes it comfortable to work at my desk for hours on end, and I really appreciate that the armrests can be easily raised and lowered. It is incredibly comfortable and durable.

Definitely happy with this purchase!

I’m really impressed with the MUXX.STIL Office Chair. I wanted something comfortable for long work days but also stylish enough to fit nicely into my space, and this chair ended up being exactly what I was looking for. The PU leather looks sleek and elegant, and the chair feels much more premium than I expected. It’s comfortable even after sitting for hours, with great back support and a soft cushion that doesn’t flatten out quickly. I also love how smoothly it rolls and adjusts. As someone who spends a lot of time working, editing content, and answering messages at my desk, having a comfortable chair truly makes a difference — and this one does. It made my workspace feel more put together and cozy at the same time. Definitely happy with this purchase!

Nice-ish chair but not what I expected.
Color: Grey
Nice chair basically, good looking, and assembly went well, the wheels roll very nicely, lumbar support is good too, with comfy seat back. However, the "seat cushion" design itself is very odd, because the seat cushion is much thicker at the rear than it is at the front, thus you're constantly slipping off forward, always needing repeatedly to lift up and get back on the seat up further where you belong; while the seat tilt adjustments are of no help with this problem, no matter what setting you will be slipping off forward. The lever for adjusting reclining ability is very cumbersome and awkward to use. The arm rests are ok, comfy, but lack the ability to raise or lower, all you can do if flip it up totally out of your way. I wish I could return and exchange this chair for something better but there is no way this could easily be disassembled and returned in the box that is long since gone. This came in a box really super efficiently and very tightly packed, give them credit and kudos for the great packing design. Maybe, hopefully, the manufacturer has some suggestions for replacement when they see this review.
