They are such a wonderful alternative to the halo or solitaire ring and the symbolism coupled with the distinct look makes this style very desirable.
The concept of 3-stone engagement rings, regardless of the occasion, has a long history dating back to prehistory. While it's difficult to pinpoint the "first" recorded three-stone ring, these rings have been used throughout history to symbolize various aspects of relationships and have appeared in different cultures and time periods.
The specific origin of the first three-stone engagement ring is difficult to determine, but the concept of using multiple stones to represent different aspects of a relationship has been around for a very long time and has evolved over the centuries.
