The #9 Micron Diamond Stone is equivalent to a 1800-2000 grit stone and leaves a respectable and functional work sharp edge. It effectively cleans up scratches from lower grit Waterstones and finer diamond plates and stones. This stone works best in combination with the 15, 6, and 3 micron Jende Diamond Resin stones.
The #6 Micron Diamond Stone is equivalent to a 3000 grit stone and creates a slicing edge that is acceptable for almost any knife or tool. It prepares the edge for further refinement and mirror finishes. It is recommended to use this stone with the 15, 9, and 3 micron Jende Diamond Resin stones.
The #3 Micron Diamond Stone is equivalent to a 6000 grit stone and leaves a finished edge suitable for most knives and tools. It complements the 15, 9, and 6 micron Jende Diamond Resin stones and sets the foundation for stropping to achieve even higher levels of refinement and polish.
