Blood Red Skies: Reggiane Re.2002 Ariete SquadronThe Reggiane Re. 2002 Ariete (Ram) was a capable fighter that could also carry a significant payload, making it suitable for fighter bomber roles, particularly during the Allied landings in Sicily. After Italys armistice, surviving Arietes were used by both the Italian Co Belligerent Air Force (fighting alongside the Allies) and by the Germans. Despite its potential, production of the Ariete was limited, with only 225 aircraft built.
