Light: This cactus loves bright, indirect light and will thrive in a sunny spot. It can tolerate some direct sun, especially if gradually acclimated, but too much intense sunlight can cause scorching. A bright windowsill or a room with plenty of natural light is ideal.
Water: Like most cacti, Opuntia rubescens Consolea prefers its soil to dry out completely between waterings. During the growing season (spring and summer), water sparingly—roughly every 2–3 weeks.
