Barbera d’Alba DOC Ruvei

Ruvei is een klassieke Barbera d’Alba met een frisse, fruitgedreven stijl en een volle, omhullende smaak. De druiven komen van kalkrijke klei met lagen witachtige mergel, wat structuur en balans geeft in het glas.

Wijngaarden en regio

De herkomst is Italië, Piemonte, binnen de appellatie Barbera d’Alba. De wijngaarden staan op overwegend kalkhoudende kleigrond met afwisselende lagen mergel. Die combinatie levert rijp, sappig fruit op met ruggengraat en een evenwichtige, frisse nervatuur.

Vinificatie en rijping

De oogst gebeurt volledig met de hand. In de kelder worden de trossen snel ontsteeld en zacht geperst. De vergisting met schilweking vindt plaats bij gecontroleerde temperatuur, met regelmatig overpompen voor een optimale extractie. Hoe lang rijpt Barbera d’Alba Ruvei? Ongeveer 1 jaar, deels in grote Slavonische eiken vaten voor zachtheid en harmonie, deels in rvs om het typische fruit te bewaren.

100% Barbera, bekend om zijn sappige fruit en levendige zuren in Piemonte.

Proefnotities en serveertips

Diep paarsrood. Fris in de neus met braam, confiture van rood fruit en kruidige toetsen. Vol en omhullend van smaak met een duidelijke, mooi ingepaste zuurgraad en een harmonieuze finale. Alcohol 13,5%.

Our Pitbull literally destroyed any and every toy that she gets with the exception of one kind of kong ball. I'd like to believe that the Kong ball she has and this ball are made of the same material. Because they are the only balls she can't ruin. And it's not because of a lack of trying. We have watched her sit there and chew with a side of her mouth for an hour or more, trying to make some kind of indention or tear in it and it just never happened. She loves to chew this thing, chase this thing, sleep with this thing. I most certainly recommend this ball. If it is I'ah proof then it is most certainly, 100% a durable ball and worth every penny
