This compact broadcast converter is engineered to connect professional SDI equipment to consumer HDMI displays with exceptional reliability and image accuracy. Its extremely small footprint makes it easy to integrate into mobile rigs, fly‑packs or fixed installations where space is limited, while still meeting the strict requirements of broadcast environments. By converting 3G‑SDI to HDMI, it allows professional cameras, switchers and routers to be monitored on standard televisions, computer displays or projectors without compromising signal quality.
The device supports a wide range of SD and HD formats up to 1080p60, including digital cinema frame rates such as 1080p24, 1080p47.95 and 1080p48. Automatic detection of SDI formats ensures seamless operation, eliminating the need for manual configuration when switching between standards. This makes it especially suitable for live production environments where signals may change frequently and reliability is critical.
A key feature of this model is the built‑in 17‑point 3D LUT, which allows accurate color calibration of connected HDMI displays. Using the Blackmagic software utility on macOS or Windows, custom LUTs can be loaded into the converter, ensuring consistent color reproduction across different monitors. The LUT can also be applied to the SDI loop output, making it possible to maintain calibrated monitoring throughout a signal chain.
Power is supplied via USB, providing maximum flexibility for both studio and field use. The converter can be powered directly from a monitor, computer or USB power source, which is why this version is supplied without a power supply unit. This is ideal for professional users who already employ centralized power solutions or wish to minimize accessories when building compact systems.

Understated Style
Color: Brown/Black
I prefer Timex over Casio because of their superior aesthetics. Timex watches have never failed me. This model fits smaller men's wrists around 6 inches in diameter, and the watch face is the right size. The black face with white numbers is easy to read. The metallic body looks awesome with the brown leather band. I wish they made one with a white face. The storage battery holds up very well when there is no sun. Accuracy is excellent. This is a very presentable and versatile watch for informal wear and business casual situations.

Quality and Reliability - Hit or Miss

Update: I went ahead and bought this watch again. Like many other Timex watches I’ve had in the past, the first one was faulty but I decided to roll the dice again. I needed a beater solar watch for when I go hiking, camping, etc. There are several options out there—Vaer, Casio, Citizen. I liked the look of Vaer, but their solar offerings are overpriced, IMO. The Citizen watches priced similarly to this Timex are too big and don’t offer sapphire. Casio’s analog watches have the same issue. There is their Edifice watch, but I don’t like integrated bracelets. So Timex it is again. 36mm, sapphire, solar powered, 100m water resistant, a field watch, it has what I'm looking for. And this second time around, it's been good so far— it's been reliable and accurate. So, it’s the luck of the draw with these watches. It’s one of the more attractive Timex watches, too. If I hadn't had a prior bad experience with this watch, I would give it 5 stars. But due to the inconsistency in quality, I can’t rate it higher than 3 stars.

I wanted to add a solar powered watch to my collection. So, after some research, I decided to buy this one. It had great specs—sapphire crystal, 100m water resistance, solar powered (of course), looked good in pictures. A perfect grab-and-go-anywhere watch.
It was love at first sight when I got this watch; It was seeming like a great bang-for-buck product…
That is, until I looked at it as a timekeeping device—its primary purpose.
I compared it to my other watches and noticed it was 4 seconds behind. I thought maybe I had set the time wrong, so I corrected it. A few days passed, and again it was several seconds behind. I repeated this process a few more times, same results.
So here’s the problem: this watch doesn’t keep good time.
More specifically…
This QUARTZ watch doesn’t keep good time.
Derided by watch collectors as having no soul, accuracy is a quartz watch’s most redeeming quality. It may lack soul, but you can’t say it doesn’t excel at timekeeping; it wipes the floor with mechanical watches in that department.
But this quartz watch doesn’t do that.
At least the one I got didn’t do that; your results may vary.
But this is the third Timex in a row that I’ve bought that cost over $100 that had some kind of major defect…
Three times in a row..
I can’t rationalize buying a Timex anymore.
At least not at the higher price range.
Luckily, Amazon has a good return policy.

Very versatile
Color: Brown/Black
Fantastic watch, as long as it's exposed to some light will never run out. I have expensive watches as well, but I end up coming back to this one frequently as it's dressy enough, and small enough to fit well under motorcycle gloves. Sapphire glass at this price point is really great as well.
