“Don’t Settle - Transmissions East” is het eerste deel van twee delen die dit jaar verschijnen. Dit album, dat een ongelooflijk productieve en diverse carrière belicht, is niet zomaar een ‘Best Of’ – het is een live studio-album zonder tweede takes, zonder autotune en zonder editing. Het is pure, rauwe en directe energie die de magie van Glen vastlegt op een manier die nog niet eerder is uitgebracht.

De opnames vonden plaats in het legendarische Funkhaus in Berlijn, een historische Oost-Duitse radio- en opnamestudio met een enorme, akoestisch perfecte orkestzaal. Hoewel het album is opgenomen in een gecontroleerde studio-omgeving, werd er gedurende twee avonden gefilmd en geregistreerd ‘in the round’, met elke avond 600 fans in de zaal.

Deze release wordt niet alleen ondersteund door een nagenoeg uitverkochte tournee door het VK en de EU (waaronder een show in The Roundhouse in Londen) en een reeks intieme optredens in de VS, maar ook door een avondvullende film en een ‘Making of’. Hierin wordt deze bijzondere periode in Glens carrière gedocumenteerd, waarbij zowel naar het verleden als naar de toekomst wordt gekeken.

Best flip-flops I've met

Right away I was impressed by the thichness and cushioning of these flip-flops. They are not a flimsy piece of rubber under my foot. The sole is more like that of an athletic shoe with layers and an impressive tread. I've always found that my heel sits too much on the back edge of flip-flops, or even over it. So I ordered these just a half size large and they're perfect. The foot cradling allows my heel to sit down inside the flip-flop comfortably and securely. They're not about to fall off. The toe piece (I don't know what it's actually called) is not just the typical round rubber post. On these flip-flops it's nicely shaped and fits comfortably between my toes. The arch support is nice too. They're not just flat. In spite of being more substantial than the cheapies we all know, these remain lightweight. They clearly look better too
