De X pipe kan worden genstalleerd met zowel de standaard als aftermarket axle backs. Voor de installatie is het noodzakelijk om de OEM uitlaat door te snijden.

De Mishimoto X-pipe uitlaat voor de Ford Mustang S550 GT 5.0 vervangt de standaard uitlaat resonator door een vrij stromende X-pipe sectie. It is approximately 8” x 8” x 1.6.” It is made of faux leather and MDF. It is supposedly water-resistant, but I have tested that.
