En al loopt hij aan het eind van de roman weer rond op zijn Alexanderplatz, het is de vraag of dat nu het plein in het werkelijke Berlijn is, of ergens in het hiernamaals.Alfred Döblin vertelt op virtuoze wijze het verhaal van het bruisende Berlijn uit de jaren twintig van de vorige eeuw, een stad die uit zijn voegen is gebarsten door de toeloop van massa's gelukszoekers. Het stadsrumoer klinkt op in het hoofd van Franz Biberkopf en op iedere bladzijde van het boek: het kroegleven, de onderwereld met zijn kruimeldieven en scharrelaars, de tobbers die het hoofd maar net boven water weten te houden. Het is een verhaal waarin een uitbundig bal net zo minutieus wordt beschreven als de bedrijvigheid in het kolossale slachthuis dat de metropool van vlees moet voorzien.

Cute mini backpack
I love the color, pockets are deep and zippers are smooth, it’s plenty deep and wide just wish it came in a 13/15 inch so it fits my planner but it works with a 5x7 one just next time I know if I want to fit a notebook in to get a bigger one

Love this bag but the straps always adjust and loosen
I love this mini backpack purse. It’s soft and lightweight and it’s cuter than I thought it would be. The extra pockets help keep things organized and I like to keep my debit cards in the back pocket so I don’t have to open the whole bag and dig around for my card. The only thing I don’t like is the straps slide and adjusts especially if I grab it by the strap so I always have to slide the buckle back up to shorten the strap. I’ve thought about putting a small zip tie or something to tighten the strap and hopefully it would stay in place.
