De Endurance Booster bestaat voor 92% uit hoge kwaliteit koolhydraten met aanvulling van elektrolyten en een Endurance Booster formule dat bestaat uit instant BCAA (snel opneembare eiwitten), L-glutamine, L-Taurine, L-Carnitine en L-citrulline.Eiwitten zijn van essentieel belang voor een duursporter. Het is een belangrijk onderdeel van de spierstructuur, het speelt een sleutelrol bij een groot aantal enzymen welke de energieproductie katalyseren en eiwitten kunnen 15% van de energie leveren gedurende lange trainingen en wedstrijden. Eiwitten zorgen voor verminderde afbraak van spieren met als gevolg een sneller herstel. Verder beschermen deze eiwitten het immuunsysteem. Uit wetenschappelijk onderzoek is gebleken dat zodra de inspanning langer dan 2 uur duurt de sportprestatie met 10% verbetert als je naast koolhydraten ook eiwitten aanvult.
Nog een erg belangrijke stof uit de Endurance booster is L-Citrulline. L-Citrulline verbetert kort gezegd de opname van koolhydraten tijdens inspanning, uw lichaam kan daardoor meer koolhydraten opnemen dan zonder L-citrulline. Wat vanzelf sprekend voor een zware lange inspanning/sportprestatie bevorderend kan werken.
Tijdens intensieve inspanning vermindert de darmwerking, en dus ook de opname van aminozuren en koolhydraten L-Citrulline, een aminozuur dat ontstaat door oxidatie van L-arginine, de werking van de dunne darm tijdens inspanning kan verbeteren. Tijdens inspanning vernauwen de haarvaten in de darmen omdat het lichaam prioriteit geeft aan de toevoer van zuurstof en voedingsstoffen naar de spieren. L-Citrulline zet in de darmcellen om in L-arginine en enzymen in de bloedvaten van de darmcellen kunnen L-arginine gebruiken voor de aanmaak van stikstofmonoxide [NO].
Stikstofmonoxide laat bloedvaten verwijden en verbetert de toevoer van zuurstof naar de darmcellen. Bovendien neemt daardoor het transport toe van voedingsstoffen uit de darmen naar het lichaam.

Perfect Quality.

Cloth bound cover with printed foil design on the front cover. The lettering color ; as well as the picture illustrations, are entirely printed in blue ink. There is a removable price sticker on the back of the book, which it is hard to remove without it leaving glue residue behind, therefore I myself left it as it was. The sprayed edges are also of blue metallic color. Very nice quality book I recommend buying it. My copy of the book had only a very tiny indentation on the edge of the top front cover but hardly anything to make a fuss about.

Beautiful physical book / perception altering offerings

I encountered this book when I was 9 years old and it completely changed the way I lived my life and viewed others. No more woe is me, nor life isnʻt fair. Instead I realized my actions and perceptions are in my control. Truly mind altering.
Annually I have a selection of books and other writings, including The Prophet, that I read again. The Prophet is always fresh and I come away with new eyes and attitude.
The hardcover book is beautiful with the book pages kissed with a serene blue that is reflected on the cover and the text within. Just looking at the book makes me feel calm and ready for the words of love, acceptance, and the freedom to be.
I purchased this book for myself to replace the tattered paperback I was given as a child. After reading and rereading over the past couple of days I am going to purchase a few more books to gift to people I love.

Beautiful Book
Format: Hardcover
Book is nicer than expected. I highly recommend this book for personal collection or for a gift. The edges are blue gilded and the cover is lovely. It has a nice index which was not available in another "The Prophet" book I previously ordered. "The Prophet" is one of my favorite books.
