De HDMI transmitter en receiver is een multifunctioneel apparaat, doordat deze een extender, splitter en converter functie in één heeft. Het apparaat bestaat uit twee losse onderdelen, de receiver en de transmitter. Op beide onderdelen zijn verschillende poorten aanwezig. Het signaal kan probleemloos worden verstuurd over een afstand van wel 50 meter. Een afstand van 100 meter is ook mogelijk met 480P ( mindere beeldkwaliteit ).
