De lange halterstang is geschikt voor de 'grote drie': bankdrukken, deadlifts en squats. Deze drie oefeningen vormen de basis van traditionele krachttraining. Aangevuld met optrekoefeningen (pull ups en chin ups) en buikspieroefeningen (sit ups, crunches) zijn deze oefeningen in principe ruim voldoende om kracht op te bouwen. Deze set is geschikt voor gewichten met een diameter van 30/31 mm.
