De Hidea HDF8 kortstaart is een krachtige en soepel lopende 8 pk 4-takt buitenboordmotor met twee cilinders. De motor levert 5,9 kW vermogen en draait binnen een optimaal toerenbereik van 4500–5500 tpm, waarbij hij opvallend stil en trillingsarm blijft. De through-the-prop uitlaat en het efficiënte brandstofverbruik zorgen voor comfortabel en zuinig varen.

De HDF8 kortstaart is uitgerust met handstart en elektrische start, CDI-ontsteking, vooruit-neutraal-achteruit schakeling en verstelbare stuurfrictie. Doordat de uitlaat in de schroef verwerkt zit, geniet je van de rust. De meegeleverde 12 liter tank is voorzien van een brandstofmeter, waardoor je eenvoudig het brandstofniveau in de gaten houdt. Met het hoogwaardige aluminium frame, roestvrijstalen waterpomphuis en interne zinkbescherming is de motor duurzaam en betrouwbaar voor jarenlang vaarplezier.
